. . . AT 20 YEARS ...
Two years since Kane had taken the twins in, sheltered them, fed them, taught them, trained them. Turned out that Alpha Kyle wasn't meant to be the Alpha for very complicated reasons but Olive couldn't care less.
They had just had their graduation, scoring first class in their respective courses. They were no longer who they used to be having unlocked their powers. Occasionally, they speak with the goddess being demigods and all.
"Congratulations" Kane said with a smile.
"Thank you" She and Oliver answered in unison. Kane hadn't been able to make it to the ceremony, so of course he congratulated them on their immediate arrival home.
She and Oliver had been toying with an idea they weren't sure Kane would approve of, but it was silently at the back of their minds.
"Kane, we've been thinking..." Olive said over dinner.
"of?" Kane questioned.
"We want to start an agency..., an assassination agency." Olive answered, the last part a bit quieter.
"Hmm, really?" Kane questioned still focused on his food causing the twins to shift uncomfortably in their seats due to his lack of responses.
"Yes."
"What will use as its cover?" Kane asked.
"We were thinking the company, since I majored in business management and Oliver in international relations." Olive said.
"Seems like the both of you have it carefully planned then?"
"Yes."
"Very well then.".
. . . AT 21 YEARS ...
A year since the twins successfully established 'The Rose', its agents earning the name 'collectors'. The twins had exceptionally made a name for themselves as 'The Reckoning' and increasing the population of the agency to twenty.
Inside a well-furnished office, -two desks facing each other with a floor to ceiling window overlooking the city- situated at the top floor of the three story building, there sat Olive looking through documents when Oliver walked in.
"Liv, new target. Anonymous tip." Oliver announced with a file in hand.
"What do we have?"
"Hector, 62 years old, crimes of rape, child abuse and child captivity. Lives two cities away from Eden city which is a thirty minute run in our wolves, Human."
"Human?" Olive asked with a small upturn of her lips, her gaze still focused on the documents before her.
"Do you need me to repeat myself?" Oliver asked, his tone laced with sarcasm.
"Whatever. I'm down for a little hunt anyway." Olive replied.
"Good. We better leave now if we're gonna finish up early. Its already dinner time." Oliver said taking the lead to the elevator heading to the last floor.
They quickly changed to their work uniforms which consist of a black bodysuit and a black weapon strap for their guns and knives. Tonight, they didn't need much, three knives would do.
They left the building, stripping and neatly folding their clothes before shifting. With their clothes in their jaws, they took off for their destination.
'Finally, I'm loose.' Iris, Olive's wolf said.
'So? You're giving me a headache.' Olive replied.
'Dickhead. Humph!' Iris said with a scoff before shutting her out.
'I think Iris won't be talking for a while.' Olive said to her twin through their mind link.
'What did you do this time?' Oliver and his wolf Isaac asked simultaneously.
'Nothing too serious though.'
'You were being a dick again, weren't you?' Oliver asked.
'Yes she was.' Iris said through their link before shutting her out once more.
Soon they arrived at their location. In sight was the oblivious target. He had a blunt in his hand and was staggering towards a rundown apartment building. In silence, they followed, using the darkness as a perfect cover of what their presence entailed.
Up the stairs, the man staggered with his killers not too far.
"Shit." The drunk man mumbled as he couldn't seem to get the door open.
"Can't you make it a bit faster?" Olive said causing the man to freeze up immediately.
"W-who are you?" The man stuttered as his eyes frantically searched for whom the voice belonged to.
"Just get the door will ya?" Oliver said, annoyance clear in his tone.
The man jumbled with the keys some more before he finally got the door open.
He walked into the apartment with shaky legs as she followed, slowly emerging from the darkness that hid her.
As she approached him, the man had lost the look of fear and had replaced it with a proud smirk. With the thought of it being a woman that to him was as weak as they come, his smirk only grew. His confidence only grew with each slow stride Olive took towards him forgetting the other voice he had heard earlier on.
The apartment looked fairly decent but there was something that caught Olive's eye. A trail of dried blood. Straining her ears in the direction it led, she could hear faint breathing.
'There's someone inside.' Olive linked her brother who was still patiently watching from outside the door.
'On it.' He linked back. He quickly rushed for the inside, too fast for the man's human eye to see and the man too high to notice the breeze that had blown past him.
"Now princess..." The man drawled as Olive had finally stopped few feet before him. Olive inwardly shuddered at the comment.
"What brings you here?" The man asked, ravaging her body with his eyes.
"You'd be surprised." Olive replied making the man laugh.
'There are two malnourished wolves tied up in the basement.' Oliver mind linked Olive
'Are they conscious?'
'Yes. They said their names are Evelyn and Ellis, 19 years old, Twins.' Oliver replied.
'Good. I'll round up here.'
"Well, looks like your time's up weirdo." Olive said, her knife coming to view.
"What do you..."
"Bye." Olive said tossing the knife at the vein on his neck, effectively killing him.
