CH-1 "The Abandoned Baby"

"Ting ting ting"

The bell rang indicating that the lunch break was over , all the children returning to their classes from the dining room.

It was a pleasant sunny afternoon not too hot, but just right so one would want to stand right under the Sun, the rustling of the trees could be heard ,with the long and serene blows of the wind all across the orphanage.

A man seemingly in his late forties was sitting on the chair of a room which looked like his office , sipping his tea and relaxing in the calm and nonchalant weather when,

"knock knock knock " "sorry to disturb you sir but ..... somebody seems to have left a kid outside the orphanage gates" said a young but a very charming looking boy probably in his early twenties.

"Sigh" "Have these kids not heard the name of birth control pills , I mean why bother to even drop the baby here . Could've just let the hospital do even that for them..... petty fools ! "The man grumbled sounding obviously annoyed and irritated by the situation .

"Sam go bring the kid inside " that young boy hearing those words at once turned on his heels and ran to bring the abandoned kid at the gate inside.

"Sir what should we name him" Sam asked the man

"hmm ....... let me think"

After a while a name suddenly popped up in his head "NORI ! " He said a little excited .

".........Sir he is a human not a food" said Sam a little taken aback ,

"Hey! I can clearly see what he is, Nori means light in Arabic."

"Oh ......then please give him to me we should feed him something"

"Right" with that Sam took the little baby to feed him formula milk.

Like this almost a year had passed since little Nori was found outside the orphanage gates . He was a very quiet kid who had never cried even when he was left alone , except for the one time that he had cried was when he spilled  hot tea on himself trying to copy the Dean.

Not only that he used to look particularly more adorable when he would stare at things without any reason ,and out of all the people he was specially cared for by Sam and the laundry lady.

Sam was the boy raised by the orphanage itself , he started helping out the Dean with the small tasks and paperwork since he turned nineteen and so was the most popular and loved senior in the whole orphanage and he for some reason treated Nori the youngest kid at the orphanage as his little brother...... probably because he was the first one to find him? who knows because he just says that he finds the kid quite lovable .

Things were going great just the same as always when on another sunny afternoon a set of a few black cars pulled over.

A man probably in his mid thirties rushed out and opened the back door of the car behind him ,a man in his late twenties got down followed by a kid who hardly looked around ten-twelve, seeing all these the guard quickly called the office to inform the Dean about the visitors and rushed to greet them.

Within seconds the Dean rushed out huffing due the run from the office straight to the gate followed by Sam and all the teachers and the staff members all trying to catch their breaths but not daring to show it.

"M-MR. ALARIC ! " "It's a pleasure having y-you here today! "

"Yes good afternoon Mr. Roy , great to see you  in good health"

Sam has seen Mr. Roy since he was a little boy , he was the kind of man who was hardly ever fazed no matter how difficult or bad the situation might be , he just somehow always managed to keep his cool . And that quality of his has always made the whole orphanage want to rely on him , and that is what has always made SAM lookup to him.

..........But today that very man looked as if he had just witnessed a murder scene showcased by a Tyrant.

cold sweat breaking from his forehead ,his expression forced to look joyous his posture exaggerated ,words filled with dread and caution scattered all over the place , as if he could feel the impending doom in the air.

"W-what brings you here today sir?" Mr. Roy asked...... though he could roughly guess what was going to be said .

"I'M HERE TO BUY AN 'TEST SUBJECT' FOR MY LITTLE BROTHER....................................... ."
