Episode 3

My name is Emily Warren, I am 20 years old, daughter of the Moon Goddess and the Alpha Gonzalo of the Shadow Pack. I left my pack with the sole goal of finding my mate. Unfortunately, I only have 5 years left, which will be up in a few months. I don't want to return and become something I'm not; I'd rather die than harm someone undeservedly. In our pack, we are trained from a young age to handle different weapons. Some have special powers of prediction, strength, or speed. My grandmother says that many years ago they also used magic, but that's in the past. As long as I can remember, my grandmother has been the one taking care of me since my mother died during childbirth. I am the youngest daughter of Alpha Gonzalo. I have twin brothers, Mateo and Matias, who both love me very much and are always there for me. Unlike Dad, they are attentive to me and what I need.

With Dad, everything was problems. Almost immediately after Mom's death, he had a child with the witch, Tifany, to whom he gave the love and attention he didn't give me. I grew up developing different skills, which helped me defend myself from bullying. Not having my mother and my father favoring Tifany was unbearable, which is why I had arguments with Dad. This caused more problems with Dad. My brothers always defended and supported me. My grandmother explained that our wolf sometimes takes time to appear, and if I didn't have it now, I would have it when I turned 21, so I had to wait 3 more years for that.

After the failed attempt to get my wolf, the witch's pressure on Dad increased. They wanted to use me as a bargaining chip to join forces with a warlock named Roberto, who is an acquaintance of the damned witch. She assures that my wolf will never appear and that it's a good way to spend my life with a damned warlock and under Dad's control. I haven't accepted any of that, and since my brothers support me, Dad has stopped.

A few months ago, an alpha named Emilio found us and asked us to join him to overthrow the alpha of alphas. Most in our pack disagreed, but again, the damned witch interfered and convinced Dad to join him. As members of the pack, we are under the alpha's control.

After training, I sit on the grass in Grandma's garden to drink water when I hear very stealthy footsteps. I pretend to drink water, then I crouch down and grab a stick to throw it at the bush on the right side.

"Aaaah, damn bitch!"

Emily - What are you doing there, Tifany?

"You're a bitch! I'll tell Dad you did it on purpose."

Emily - Why, Mateo? Why don't I have my wolf? Why does Dad hate me? Why does he want to trade me? Am I worth nothing to him?

Mateo - Don't say that, Em. You know that Matias, Grandma, and I love you with all our hearts. I don't know why you don't have your wolf yet, but be patient. You are the best in combat and skills. Be as proud of that as we are.

Emily - Will Dad make the trade?

Mateo - We won't allow it, Em.

I stayed hugged to him. Shortly after, the door was heard and Dad's voice tensed me immediately.

Mateo - Relax, Em.

Gonzalo - Where is she?

Grandma Ross - If you're referring to your daughter, she's in the yard.

We heard his footsteps and I separated from Mateo.

Gonzalo - Here you are, I need you to get ready.

Emily - I won't go with that warlock, Dad.

Gonzalo - So you know.

Mateo - Of course, Tifany came to rub it in her face. You can't do it, Dad.
