Episode 4

Sleep had enveloped me in its deepest embrace, a haven of peace, when a subtle disturbance pulled me from it. Movements beside me alerted me, and when I turned, my heart skipped a beat. There was Leandro, his breathing labored, and his brow furrowed in a grimace of deep discomfort, even in his sleep.

I stare, assimilating that he's in my bed. When did that happen? As far as I remember, I went to bed alone.

The waning moon cast a faint light through the window, bathing his elegant features in a ghostly glow. I realized, with a pang of pain, that even on nights like this, the shadow of the blood moon's curse continued to haunt him, stealing his peace even in his rest.

Seeing him suffer, even asleep, caused me deep anguish.

I hated the idea that a nightmare was consuming him.

Instinctively, I raised my hand, my fingers seeking the warmth of his skin. With the utmost gentleness, I placed my hand on his forehead, caressing his furrowed eyebrows with the tips of my fingers.

The instant my touch reached him, I felt a slight reaction.

His expression, tense and tormented, began to soften. His brow relaxed, and his breathing became more regular.

It was as if my simple touch could dispel the shadows that enveloped him.

I continued to caress his forehead, focusing all my intention on transmitting calm to him, on assuring him that he was safe, that he was not alone.

Little by little, the tension left his body.

With the nightmare dispelled and peace restored to his face, Leandro seemed to sink deeper into sleep, his breathing now soft and regular.

Suddenly, I felt a gentle movement beside me. Leandro, still asleep, wrapped his arms around my waist, drawing me towards him with an instinctive and protective force.

His body snuggled against mine, and his breathing, now warm and rhythmic, caressed my neck. I settled against him, feeling the solidity of his embrace, the security that emanated from his closeness. It was a gesture of tender possession, a silent affirmation that we were together, anchored in that moment.

I snuggled closer, my head resting on his chest, feeling the beating of his heart against my cheek. The air in the room felt charged with a special sweetness, a deep intimacy that is only forged in shared vulnerability. I closed my eyes, allowing the warmth of his embrace to envelop me completely, feeling safe and at peace.

Little by little, the darkness of the night began to yield. A soft silver glow filtered through the window, announcing the arrival of dawn.

The first rays of sun, of a pink and golden hue, painted the sky, tinging the room with a warm and hopeful light. Through my eyelids, I could feel the light intensifying, and when I finally opened my eyes, the sight was simply magical.

There we were, Leandro and I, still entangled in the embrace of the night, wrapped in the same blanket. The light of dawn bathed the room, illuminating our faces in a canvas of soft tones. He was still asleep, with his arm firmly around my stomach, his face relaxed and serene, an image of peace that filled my soul. Seeing him like that, so close, so surrendered to rest, made me feel immense gratitude for this moment, for him.

The dawn was beautiful, but the true beauty lay in the stillness and connection we shared in that instant.

I get up, trying not to disturb Leandro's peaceful sleep. Once out of bed, I headed to the bathroom, seeking my own morning routine.

When I came out, the scene greeted me with a sweet surprise. Leandro was already sitting on the bed, the soft morning light caressing his profile.

I gave him a smile, "good morning," which he returned with an equally warm smile, his eyes still with the gleam of sleep but full of an unmistakable sweetness.

He rose with that grace that captivated me so much and approached me.

His presence was a magnet, and my heart gave a small leap.

"Now it's my turn to shower," he said, his voice still hoarse with sleep. He gave me a tender, fleeting kiss on the tip of my nose and entered the bathroom.

I was stunned.

It wasn't the kiss itself, which was already becoming an adorable habit, but the declaration that he was going to use my bathroom.

He had never before entered the intimacy of my room to shower. The action took me by surprise.

However, I decided not to dwell on it too much.

Instead of staying and analyzing the situation, I opted for action.

I went to my wardrobe, looking for the perfect garment for the day. I chose a simple dress, but with a cut that I knew suited me well, a choice that reflected the calm and serenity I felt inside.

The sound of water ceased, and shortly after, Leandro emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel and with his hair dripping, each drop of water gleaming in the light of day. The image he projected was... striking. His robust body, the well-defined abdomen that was hinted at under the towel, all this provoked an almost involuntary reaction in me: my lips licked themselves.

I didn't know why I did it, it was an impulse, but he, with that sharpness that characterized him, noticed.

A mischievous spark flashed in his eyes, and a playful smile drew on his lips.

He approached me, his presence filling the space, a delicious intimidation that made me feel a slight blush on my cheeks. Standing face to face, I had no choice but to raise my head to look him in the eyes, feeling the heat rise through my face.

"Do you like what you see?" he asked, in a whisper charged with mischief, and his gaze fixed on mine.

With a mixture of shame and honesty, I replied: "It's not what you think."

The confession seemed to unleash something in him.

A laugh echoed in the room, a sonorous and genuine laugh that left me completely spellbound.

It wasn't something he usually did often, and seeing that expression of uninhibited joy on his face made him look infinitely more attractive, almost transformed.

I stood watching him, captivated by that sound so uncommon in him.

Just when I was beginning to assimilate that image, he broke the spell. "I'll get dressed to go have breakfast. We have to leave soon to the place I told you about," he announced, and before I could fully process his laughter, he gave me that characteristic kiss on the tip of my nose again. Then, he left the room, leaving me once again stunned, with the echo of his laughter and the promise of the adventure that awaited us...
