Crushed Dreams

Winne is a 18 year old girl who was an orphan, she lived with her stepmother Giselle and her stepsister Mia. Giselle was not an ideal step mother she made winne work with the servants in the house. Winne lost her mother due to a tragic car accident when she was five after three years her father Austin Simon had to remarry he married giselle to take care of Winnie but few months after the marriage her father died of a sudden heart attack. Giselle didn't mourn for Austin her late husband she immediately took over the family company and became the largest share holder of the company. Mia her daughter never missed an opportunity to humiliate Winne all she knows how to do was to shout at staffs and spend money recklessly she started dating Mike a wealthy guy from a prominent family. Winne was cleaning a vase when she mistakenly broke the vase the sound attracted Giselle "what was that" she screamed "mother I'm very sorry it was an accident" winne said with tears in her eyes "Do you know how much that vase cost,can you afford it in your life you dirty thing" she screaming at winne "sorry mother" winne apologised "kneel on the broken glass now" she said Winne obediently kneel on the glass it cut her skin badly but she could only shed tears and dared not to complain about it. The maids in the house could only watch with sad faces but could not help her winne was in that position for more than four hours ,her step sister and her boyfriend arrived her step sister only laughed as she approached her she gave Winnie a very hot slap which made Winnie fall completely on the glass given her more deep cuts she could only cry but soon she passed out. When she woke up she was in the servants quarters winne could not tell why her step mother and sister was treating her so bad she always wanted to be a leading female actress but that dream got crushed. One time she thought about running far way but was caught and locked up for three days without for nor water she could not do anything to go against her step mother or she would be punished. The only person who cared for her was the old house keeper Lora. Lora has been the one looking after Winne since the death of her parents, when winne woke up Lora had already dressed her wounds " Dear are you awake?" Lora asked " No I'm not " said winne she could not help but sob Lora comforted her " Every thing will be fine soon" she said " no nothing will be fine you have been saying that for years nothing has changed my situation is only getting worst" she cried harder Lora could feel the pain os winne but not being able to help hurt her more " i promised your mother to look after you but u can't even help you" Lora started crying too "no Lora it's not your fault don't blame your self" winne said "i promise to be happy even in this situation" winne promised Lora.
