The Lady of the Hao's

"Madame, your clothes are ready, " Nanny Liu said holding a simple but elegant white dress and red heels.

Elise Hao glanced at her, exposing the beauty of the Lady of the Hao's. The team did not find any difficulty in dolling her up. With her natural beauty, just a few streaks of make-up gave her a more gorgeous and sophisticated look.

"Thank you, Nanny Liu," she said as she stood up and made her way to the dressing room to get changed. It's still an hour before the appointed time, but her excitement cannot make her wait any longer.

It's been three years since she had been married into the Hao's. However, since her husband is well-known to be the busiest person in East City, they rarely had a chance to have a decent time together. So naturally, Elise Hao really looked forward to this dinner celebration.

After getting herself ready, William Chen took her to the restaurant where she was supposed to meet her husband for dinner. When they arrived, all the people in the room had their eyes on Elise Hao. As she passed by the aisle, her charm and elegance radiated, making the men stare at her and the ladies lose confidence.

The manager quickly ran and assisted them on their way to the pavilion of the restaurant. People then started murmuring different things. Some kept talking about her look while others wondered to which noble family she came from.

Her marriage into the Hao's was held privately. It was kept secretly from the media. Only a few in the circle had known about this. Eventually, the news that the famous bachelor of the East City had been married got out. Though it was quickly suppressed, hence, the matter of who the lady was, never got exposed. This made Elise Hao more thankful as she did not want any attention to be focused on her.

Although the pavilion is situated in an open place of the restaurant, Elise Hao felt warmth with the surroundings. The place looked very dazzling. The whole area was decorated with various colorful flowers. Purple Hyacinths, pink Carnations, and white Astilbes were among the flowers which Elise Hao could recognized. Hanging lights and lanterns surrounded the area creating a warm glow as the daylight began to fade away.

A table for two was arranged at the center of the pavilion. A gorgeous boquet was used as the centerpiece. Coloful petals were also scattered on the table. The tablewares were placed meticulously with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. A soft music matched with the city night's view gave Elise Hao a more relaxing mood.

After William Chen ensured that the Lady was comfortable with her seat, he went downstairs waiting for the arrival of his master. While waiting, he received a call from his master and immediately answered it, "Yes, Mr. Hao..."

As she watched the city lights started to flash one by one, Elise Hao could not take away the anxiousness that had been bottled up inside of her. She kept on pushing away unnecessary thoughts only for them to return when she was alone. She then mused to herself, "No. He will make it this time. He promised."
