Chapter 5: Betrothal Gifts

Sanchez family Villa.

"Mr. Carlos," Augustine served tea to the middle-aged man with a gentle face, his own face filled with smiles.

"Please have some tea."

On one side, Victoria, dressed in a black Chanel outfit, showed a hint of dignity in her slightly plump figure.

Clara, in a long blue dress, wore an exquisite makeup that gave her an elegant and dignified appearance.

Both of their faces carried an appropriate smile.

Carlos has been the Luther Family's butler for several decades, the Sanchez family would not dare to treat him lightly.

"Mr. Augustin is too polite," Carlos took the cup and put it aside, uttered with a mild laugh.

"The Mr. Luther's Grandpa told me to fetch Mrs. Luther.

Do you know where she is?"

Clara and Victoria exchanged glances, a hint of unease flickering in their eyes.

"Mr. Carlos, to tell you the truth," Augustine, however, maintained his composure and sighed.

"Camilla, accidentally fell down the stairs yesterday and she is still unconscious," his face wearing a look of heartache.

"However, the doctor said there is nothing major to worry about and she should regain consciousness in a couple of days.

You see..."

Fell down the stairs? Carlos furrowed his eyebrows, a trace of doubt flashing in his downcast eyes.

"Everything depends on Miss. Camilla's recovery," When he lifted his head, the smile on his face had faded slightly.

"We can return to the Luther mansion when she is fully recovered."

His words were music to Augustine's ears.

"That is right," Receiving Victoria's gaze, Augustin continued with a smile.

"Mr. Carlos, shall we discuss the details of the wedding while we're here?"

As Camilla's maternal family, the Sanchez family are in some respects the hosts of the wedding.

This would certainly grant them the opportunity to network with many of the capital's elite families.

"I apologize, Mr. Sanchez," Carlos still looked gentle, but there was a certain indistinct meaning in his gaze.

"Mr. Sinclair Luther has been busy lately, so the old man's intention is to keep things simple, and not hold a wedding ceremony."

No wedding ceremony?! The smile on Augustine face froze for an instant.

A flash of dissatisfaction appeared in Victoria's eyes.

Only Clara, her initial disappointment fading, felt a faint relief sink to the bottom of her heart.

It seemed that she was not valued in the Luther Family after all.

"Although we can't hold a wedding ceremony, our Luther Family will not skimp on the necessary formalities."

Carlos absorbed the expressions of the three people, then turned and took a box from a young man behind him, placing it on the table.

"This is the betrothal gift prepared for the future Mrs. Luther, I hope Mr. Augustine could check it."

As he spoke, he opened the box.

A glint of light flashed in the eyes of all three Sanchez, their faces filled with anticipation.

A bank card and a contract.

"This card is specially prepared by the Luther Family for the young madam, there is no limit on the amount."

Carlos explained with a smile.

"The contract states that the old man gifts two mansions in the west city to the young Madam."

An unlimited card? Two west city mansions?

Even though Augustine and Victoria had already braced themselves, they were still shocked by the Luther Family's extravagant wealth.

The hand of Victoria, hanging by her side, was clenched tightly, and her carefully made-up face was full of uncontrollable excitement.

The card from the Luther Family could not only help the Sanchez enterprise overcome the current financial crisis but also pave the way for it to take another step forward.
