2-Prologue (End of the prologue)

The torturer gripped the stick tightly and looked at the woman before speaking,

"I am giving you one last chance, confess to your crimes and I'll personally request the pope to reward you a painless death."

The woman looked into his cold eyes, she knows that no matter how much she begs, this man is not letting her go but she still shook her head, denying the torturer's offer.

Without hesitation the torturer brings the stick down to her shoulder with brute force, instantly dislocating it.

"aagghhhh..." the woman's screams became more strained since she has already damaged her vocal cords

The torturer starts his brutal beatdown, showing no mercy at all. The woman got both of her shoulders dislocated, broke her orbital bone, her tibia and fibula (shinbone) crushed, her arms broken. The torturer managed to avoid damaging the vital areas while simultaneously inflicting as much pain as he could.

The woman still did not confess. Getting frustrated the Torturer had no choice but to try one of the most effective techniques he knew.

"I think we should try a different approach..."

he says walks up behind the chair which the woman was sitting on and grabs a fistful of her hair

"If you confess then I assure you, your kids and husband will get banished to the outskirts. They shall be able to live a peaceful life there, however...." he tightens the grip on her hair, "If you die here, People will believe that your curse got passed on to your family and all of them shall be executed."

The woman's eyes widened in fear. Her face got so pale that she looked like a ghost. She quickly panics, "N-NO!! You can't...D-Do th-s TO U-U-US!!!...W-e are... IN-INNOCENT!!"

"Your choice will either save your family or-..."

"I Did it!...I-I c-commited witchcraft!.."

The torturer looks satisfied, "say it again,please."

"I DID EVERYTHING! I-I B-BREW A POTION AND...AND POURED I-IT INTO THE S-S-SOIL WH-WHERE CROPS WERE S-SUPPOSED TO G-G-ROW!..."

the woman finally confesses. Brutal torture methods didn't work but a simple threat did...

later that day in afternoon, People gathered at the center of the town. The woman was brought onto the high platform, supported by two men as she couldn't walk with her broken shin. She gets nailed to a large plank made of dry wood. The woman's husband and her 8 year old son, Charles were also present in the crowd wanting to see their loved one for the very last time.

the husband had to put a hand on Charles' mouth because of his loud cries. People around them felt both pity and sadness.

Person: "I can't believe that this witch deceived these innocent souls...May lord be with these two"

The people kept discussing until the priest speaks up firmly...

"For those who are present in this beautiful event, I want to say a few words to all of you."

The priest takes a deep breath before speaking again, "I priest Lewis the IX, joyous to declare that another one of these evil creatures..." he says pointing at the tied up woman, "is going to get banished from this world and spend eternity in the fires of inferno as she deserves!" he took a deep breath before continuing, "I pray for the lord to bless those who have been hurt by this creature. We will fight against them until our last breath!"

The crowd erupts into cheers and claps. The executioner sets the plank on fire, the crowd cheered as the woman screamed in agony. Her husband covered the eyes of Charles who is so stunned that he couldn't move...

With this another Evil was banished from this world.
