I keep a lot to myself because it's hard to find someone that understands...

"Are you drunk, Nara?" Kenji whispered.

"Pfft, nooo. You haven't eaten anything!"

"Ssh, you're too loud, you'll disrupt others."

"Whatever! Food costs money you know!"

"I told you not to buy me anything."

"Nm, you need to eat more, you're thinner than me!"

"Please be more quiet." Kenji hid his face, afraid to get strange looks from others.

"Keisha! If you're not gonna eat the food I will!"

"Kenji," he mumbled.

Nara had finally got Kenji to leave his apartment and took him to a fancy restaurant in hopes to get him to eat. Kenji has Cibophobia, Nara makes him drink a smoothie once a day, but other than that, he won't eat. Nara's tried taking him to speak to a doctor but he never talks.

Nara sighed and took another shot.

"You know, more girls would want to date you if you weren't so thin."

"Whatever, Nara."

"Really, you're not bad looking. You're just pewny."

"Gee, thanks. It's getting late and we have classes tomorrow."

"I don't care."

"Let's go home."

"Ughh! I don't wanna!"

Kenji quickly paid and left with Nara. They walked down the dark streets and Nara almost tripped over her heels several times. A few guys hit on Nara and she flicked them off. She walked several feet in front of Kenji, swaying her arms and whistling.

"Aaaaahhhh!! A bear!!" she yelled like a psychopath running back towards Kenji.

"A bear? What do you mean?"

"Run away before it eats us! It's not like I could leave you for bait! Why would he chase a snack when he can chase a whole me?"

"You're really confident in yourself."

"Hurry! The bear!"

"I'll go see what you're talking about."

"No!! It'll eat you!!"

Kenji walked to where Nara ran from and saw a dark alleyway. He looked down and saw a fluffy black cat with white streaks laying on the floor. Kenji chuckled and motioned for Nara to come. She hesitantly walked over.

"Is this what you were talking about?"

She nodded, hiding behind Kenji. He burst out laughing making Nara start to cry.

"Ssh, I'm just messing with you. It's a very scary bear." He hugged her to stop her crying.

"The bear's hurt, do you want to help it?" Kenji asked kneeling by the bleeding cat.

"No! It'll kill us!"

Kenji pet the cat slowly and gently picked it up. He smiled softly at the cat and it opened its silver eyes. The cat closed its eyesagain and Kenji wrapped it in his coat.

"Takashi has a lot of cats, he should know what to do."

They walked to Takashi's house and knocked on the door. No one answered so they waited for a little while and knocked again.

'It's late, I wonder if he's up.'

No answer. Nara began shivering so they went home. He sat her down at the kitchen table and gabe her a glass of water.

"Drink this, I'll figure out what to do with the c- bear."

She chugged the water, thinking it was a shot and made a disgusted face.

"It tastes awful!"

"It's water, it doesn't have a taste," he mumbled walking to the bathroom.

He started a bath with hot water and held the cat just inside the water. The cat's eyes flew open and it began scratching Kenji.

"I'm sorry, little one, but you need a bath, you're dirty."

He held the cat against his chest and pet it softly. The cat calmed down and rested in his arms.

He sighed and kicked his shoes off. He sat in the bath, fully clothed and lightly poured water on the cat.

The cat woke up but was calmed by Kenji's humming. He cleaned the wound gently with warm water and dried the cat off with a fluffy white towel. He wrapped a white bandage around the wound and held the cat close to him.

"That should be good for now, I'll take you to a vet tomorrow."

Kenji carried the cat to the couch and rested it on a large pillow. He went tot check on Nara who was already asleep.

He carried her to her room and laid her in her bed. He closed the curtains and door to her room.

'I don't have any cat food. I should get some, right?'

Kenji got dressed in dry clothes and put on some shoes. He locked the door and left. He walked to the grocery store around the corner and went to the pet section. He chuckled to himself as he thought about how he hadn't been to a grocery store in years.

He grabbed a small bag of cat food and some Pocky for Nara, as they're her favorite snack. He paid and went home. As soon as he got into the apartment, he dropped the bag. The apartment was a mess, the couch was torn up and the table and furniture was knocked over.

He checked his room and his bed was unmade and his closet was open. Several of his clothes were missing as well as the cat.

"I've been robbed." His eyes widened and he ran to Nara's room

Please be okay! Please be okay! Please be okay!

He opened the door and sighed when he saw her still fast asleep. He saw the balcony door was open. He closed it and locked it.

A theif? We aren't rich though. Nara! Nara must have a stalker! I should call the cops!
