All Along It Was You

Rue Amélie
There was a storm outside, it was a cruel weather. Lessons were cancelled, it was advised by weather analyzers from the daily news that it'd be best for everyone in the district stay home bound for two days. I was cuddled up in my blanket on the couch of my cozy apartment, the air was cold. The sound of lightning cracks sent chills down my spine. My younger self would've hated it, I remember
the times I would hug my dad tight. The fear I had as a child never left.
In the near distance I could hear the water splashes from the bathroom stop. It was him. I could hear the sound of his towel rubbing against his body for some odd reason. Maybe the fear enhanced my senses. The sound of lightning crackled again, and I shivered like a wrinkled leaf. I heard his footsteps coming towards me, almost in a rushing sort of way. Then suddenly his tall figure stood in front of me, he knelt down in front of me and pulled my hand towards his lips. Although I hated the mastery he had in annoying me I felt safe and calm when he was around." Don't be afraid, I am here." he said as he kissed my cold hand with so much affection. The sound of his voice was as soothing as the ocean waves. I probably have said this a million times, but his body looked like that of a Greek God, a perfect sculpture. His face blessed by Aphrodite's kiss, and his eyes were as blue as the Atlantic Ocean. He had a strange birthmark on his chest that looked like a gash. A perfect imperfection to his glorious fare skin. His hair was a mess, but he wasn't focused on such matter. His eyes were on me, so loving yet so fierce. I couldn't help but force my body on his. I wrapped my arms around him, and he carried me up so that he would sit on the couch with me upon him. His tender lips reached for mine and I accepted it fully. He reached for the knot on his towel that held it in place to hide *you know what* to try and open it, but I placed my hand on his as he looked at me pleadingly. I shook my head and he smiled cheekily, "fine." he said.
He braided his fingers into the back of my head and pulled me gently to his chest, as he kissed my head in a repeated sequence. The scent of soap was the only thing I could smell from his body. The fear I had for the storm seemed to have evaporated, God has sent me a sentinel to protect me, to fortify my peace. He was one, worthy of my love... But...was I worthy of his? He kissed my cheek softly, his warm breath brushing across my ear. He whispered,"I love you."Answering my minded question, freeing me from the burden of the doubt. "I love you too." I replied. He laughed silently, our lips collided once again and I became lost in his strong embrace.
