Chapter 2

VALERIE

I waited impatiently the entire night, keeping my eyes glued to Xander, not letting him leave my sight. After hours and hours of waiting impatiently, he finally started to go back to the house.

I quickly followed him as he went inside his black SUV, I slowly drove behind so no one would notice as I prepared my self.

I followed them in the middle of nowhere which made my breath hitch, feeling anxious and regretting life decisions. I should've never agreed to my father into doing this. What what could I do? this is my only shot to prove my worth to my father, I couldn't just back out of this and make him think i am a disappointment, just like how he always thought of me. Not just that, I'm already here and there's no turning back now.

He stopped outside a large mansion in the middle of the woods, i quickly parked my car far behind so no one would notice as I watched him walk inside along with the guards. I scanned around the area and saw guards everywhere. This was going to be harder that I thought it would be.

Not only was his house highly secured, but if I get caught.. I'm guaranteed that no one will ever find my corpse in this place.

I took my laptop in my bag and started to hack through the security system, I knew this was going to take a while to get inside considering how tight the security system was. I was typing like crazy just to get through the system. I tried various codes and strategies before successfully getting through the system. I quickly hacked on the security footages so I could get inside. My only problem now was going pass the guards.

I scanned my eyes around the mansion, trying to find a way to get inside. As I did, I noticed a pathway leading to the garden on the left side of the mansion. As I was thinking about a plan on how to get inside when I noticed one of the guards on the pathway to the garden leave to go to the restroom.

I immediately got out my car and put my mask on and walked towards the pathway. As I got closer I suddenly flinched when the guard caught me. The guard tried to grab me but I instantly kicked him hard on the nose making him past out on the ground as I made my way inside.

I escaped. I escaped the guard and walked further inside. The mansion was massive, it was going to be challenging to find Xander in this massive mansion. As I tried to find Him I was already praying that i wouldn't screw things up, I had to k!ll him as soon as possible. As I scanned around the house trying to find him, i suddenly felt someone grabbe me firmly on the wrist.
