Prologue

Amelia and Armella are twins born and raised in the duchy of Sorenburg. The duchy of Sorenburg claims to has a long going tradition of handing over the title to the child born with red eyes and white hair and the child with blue eyes was to be their slave. It had been 100 years since a child with blue eyes was born and hence until this century this ducal house children had been peaceful.

The characteristic red or blue eye came to appearance at the child's third to fifth birthday only. At Armella and Amelia's third birthday; those famous red eyes were obtained by Armella.

Surely that was a good thing, right? Happy ending? Good future? Ofcourse it was. Armella started to excel in studies and physical abilities as the young future Duchess. Amelia was never forced to be at her sister's level because it was obvious that it was not possible due to the ancient powers of red eyed children of the Sorenburg family and hence no hard feelings were to be there. And that's how it was. Every day was peaceful; until... their sixth birthday.

Amelia was running with a fever, all her family members were there for her leaving the birthday celebrations for the health for their "precious" child.

"Mom, Dad.. It hurts."

Duke Rodrick Sorenburg, their father was there to hold her hand and to calm her down. Duchess Mivelma using her alchemy to cool her daughter down. But it was to no avail. That was until Amelia opened her eyes revealing bright, jewelled blue eyes like no other. The whole room fell in shock at what they witnessed. Was Amelia evil? No. Did she do something wrong? Never. Did she deserve the life of a slave? A puppet? Not a chance. Then why did the colour of her eyes seal her fate one subjected to cruelty and torture. Did those jewelled blue eyes bring her salvation or was her life now going to a forever loop of power extraction and service?



What happened to her? Why did the forgotten cursed trait for their family appear on the twin of the daughter which was going to be one day, a Duchess..?
