Chapter 1: The Start

(Note : This little creation of mine, i write for fun, so it will take time to make, also the story contain blood. And the story isnt based on real life events, but it some like real life simulation like talking and others things.:D!!)

Date: September 27, 2012

Location: Blackridge Forest, Northern Oregon, USA

A psychopath escapes from the hospital and runs into the deep, tall forest. A group of four hunters goes after him with one mission: bring him back alive or dead.

Jack : bright blue eyes, a tone body, is calm, athletic, and an ex-cop. Alex : brown eyes, gets angry easily (short temper) always wants to take lead, and is also quite strong. Steven : brown eyes, is overweight but very smart and observant. Riko : Alex’s girlfriend, flashy, loves taking photos, has a short attention span, black eyes, curvy body and very loud

(All of them are in there 20-30s expect Steven who is in his 60s)

The four of them go into the forest with one supply bag. Inside are four flashlights, nine bullets, eight cans of food, four water bottles, and a radio to talk to the outside world. Riko also brings her phone, taking pictures everywhere they go and posting them on Instagram. They all think it is an easy job and a fast way to earn money.

As night comes, they set up camp. The campfire burn, and the forest becomes quiet except for the sound of insects and rustling noise. They plan to go to the cabin the next day that they were assigned. Riko starts taking more photos, walking around and making noise until Steven tells her to be quiet. Then, they all hear something from the dark. The bushes move. Alex whispers "Should we check it out", holding his flashlight tight. The bushes move again, this time louder. Everyone stops moving, Steven grab his rifle. Then, suddenly, Riko screams, “AHHHHHHH!” Something jumps out from the dark. They shine their flashlights and see a small cat land in front of them. It meows softly, rubbing against Riko’s leg and looking up as if it wants food. Riko breathes out in relief and laughs. She opens one of the cans and gives the cat a small spoon of food. “Here, little cutie” she says quietly. Alex laughs and shakes his head. “You scared us for nothing,” he says. Steven mumbles, “Great, now we’re wasting food,” and sits down near the fire again. Jack stays silent, watching the cat eat, his blue eyes shining in the firelight. They continue eating around the campfire.

The atmosphere is cozy and quiet, but none of them are ready for what is coming the next day. They keep eating until Riko suddenly speaks up. “Hey, so why did you guys become hunters?” she asks curious. Jack answers first not wanting any attention "I got fired for arresting the wrong person,” he says calmly. Alex laughs and mocks him before saying, “I love hunting, and so does my dear Riko.” Riko grins and nods. “Yeah!” she says proudly. Steven laughs softly. He is the oldest, already in his sixty, and the most experienced of them all. “This is the only job that doesn’t need much physical work, and I’m good at hunting,” he says. “I do it for fun, not for money.” Steven continues talking and smiling while holding up a photo of his grandson. “Probably after this, I will have enough money to buy my grandson a present for his seventh birthday. He really wants that Xbox, and I know he adores me. Oh, his innocent smile and how oblivious he is,” Steven says softly. Riko let out a small laugh "Awww". Jack and Alex smiles. Jack speak up "He sure got a good grandpa. Mine died when i was 2 years old." Still, the atmosphere stays cozy and calm under the dim moonlight. Everything seems so peaceful as Alex and Riko go to their own camp, while Jack and Steven share the other. It feels like time has stopped, quiet, with only the sound of insects around them. But this peace won’t last for long. Steven snore, but Jack still sleep. What will await them tomorrow.
