Chapter 4: who is going to kill who

"Submit your last week's assignment, and those who have not brought the assignment their name will be jotted down and won't be receiving any extra marks in the upcoming exams" said Mrs Goenka. And with that every student took out their assignments and started to submit to our class monitor Subh. "Subh, can you ask ma'am about the students who have been suspended if they will be receiving these extra marks or not" I said. Subh asked to Mrs Goenka and she replied if both of them submit their assignments on the very first day of their attending school after suspension then they will be marked as per the rule but after that day they won't be getting any marks, also she asked Subh to deliver them this piece of information. " Don't worry I will inform Kartik, and you can inform Vickey" I said to Subh. Diksha and I both submitted our assignment and I was relieved that Kartik doesn't have to worry about his extra marks. "Suhana, let's go to the field we will walk, and then we can talk" said Diksha.

We both went to the field, and were walking and talking about our exams and then suddenly she said"do you know Subh is dating". I was surprised like he is a studious student and I haven't seen him talking to anybody and most of the time either he is studying or doing the work of our teachers as instructed.

"are you sure or is it just rumour" I asked her

"no, it's not a rumour in fact his girlfriend came to our class in the morning to see him" she said with excitement.

"tell me,who it is? Do we know her?" I asked

"she is from another section and her name is Nitya" She said laughing.

"No way, ,I mean it can't be, how could she be his girlfriend, isn't she our school discipline in charge and she is known to be strict with everyone, how did he pull her?" I was excited, and shocked at the same time, and now I was getting why Diksha was so excited and laughing at the same time because whenever we both saw her we tried to avoid her as you never know when she would start to give lectures about being a disciplined student or how we should wear our uniforms or even about the code of conduct types of lectures. We both were laughing and talking about their dating each other and suddenly Diksha pulled my sleeves and asked to look in a certain direction. We both saw Subh and Nitya coming together in the field and we said "field date" at the same time, and giggled. Furthermore, we both headed towards our classroom.

"you know I am so excited about our tomorrow gathering and we will have so much fun, we will order really delicious food" Diksha said with excitement but for some reason after hearing about tomorrow's gathering I felt nervous because "the words" left from Kartik that we will continue our conversation somewhat made me nervous albeit I know he was just joking but there was nervousness, and a bit of happiness at the same time. "Alright,, but don't forget about our revision plan for the upcoming unit test"I said to her. She made some faces like I have told her the world's most pathetic thing and I just smiled because I know how she is about studying."Fine, we will have some fun too and we will eat a lot, talk a lot, and what not, now happy?" I said while smiling.

"mom, I am so tired and hungry " I said while keeping my school bag on the shelf. "Freshen up, I will bring the food" Mom replied.

"By the way, Mom, tomorrow both Diksha and Kartik are coming we thought to plan a short break for ourselves and also we will discuss our upcoming unit tests so that we all can do our revision effectively "I informed her.

" Fine with me, do You need me to cook something?" she asked

"no need, we will order "I said.

"okay, after that make sure to study well, go and change your uniform now, food is ready" she said.

I left to change and come back to eat. I went into my room, picked up my phone to see any messages. One was from Subh, he reminded me to call Kartik and inform him about the assignment submission. So, I called Kartik, he picked up and said, "hello".

"hey, it's me Suhana" I said.

"you think I haven't saved your number or I don't recognize your voice" he said.

"fine, by the way I called you to inform you about our Economics assignments and you can submit it the very first day after your suspension, and if not you won't be rewarded with any extra marks" I said it all in one go.

"Okay" he replied.

"ummm.. Then bye" I said

"did you just call me to give this a small piece of information" he said sounding irritated

"Of course then what else" I said without thinking much.

"Suhana, I want to tell you something" he said, after just hearing that sentence my heart was pounding. I composed myself and asked" what is it?"

"Suhana, I think you are an idiot" he said laughing. I knew he was teasing me.

" I will kill you kartik if you say that again, you just meet me tomorrow then we will talk" I said controlling my laughter.

"Okay, I was just joking, I mean you just came and informed me about school and was being so serious that's why and by the way why are you so hesitant to speak to me nowadays" he said.

"Nothing like that, I talk to you normally, just think within your brain limit" I said laughing.

"now who is going to kill who" he said. We both laughed and talked for a while. After that I went to rest for a bit used my phone and went to study. I did some school assignments and revised some economics chapters and it was already the evening. I went out to get some stationary.
