chapter 5

Neo pov:-

And that’s when I saw him.

Ravin Rittavath.

My soon-to-be husband.

He was walking down the aisle with a calm, commanding grace — each step confident, measured, heavy with an aura that pulled every gaze toward him. His black suit fit him like it had been stitched by the universe itself. The deep onyx fabric shimmered faintly under the lights, his tie perfectly knotted, his posture sharp and composed.

And those eyes — dark, unreadable, but magnetic — locked with mine for a fraction of a second, and it felt like my breath forgot what it was supposed to do.

His hair, slightly tousled yet effortlessly perfect, brushed against his forehead. His jawline was sharp, his expression serious but alluring, the kind of face that could both kill and heal with a single look.

For a moment — just one dangerous second — I forgot to breathe.

My chest tightened, and I felt my pulse stumble.

God, he’s… I couldn’t even find the right word. Handsome wasn’t enough.

He was everything that word failed to describe.

I quickly tore my eyes away, pretending to adjust my sleeve, forcing my heartbeat to return to something close to normal.

I couldn’t afford to get distracted. Not now. Not by him.

Because no matter how breathtaking Ravin Rittavath looked… this marriage wasn’t real.

It was a contract. A business deal. A mistake written fifteen years ago.

Still, when his footsteps drew closer and his presence filled the space beside me — I couldn’t help but feel that something in my life had just shifted.

And I wasn’t sure whether to run from it… or let it consume me.

The priest began speaking — words echoing softly through the grand hall — but none of it reached me. My mind was chaos, a storm of thoughts I couldn’t control. Everything felt too loud and too quiet at the same time. My heartbeat thudded in my ears, faster than ever, almost drowning the world out.

I tried to focus, but my nerves wouldn’t let me. My palms were sweaty, my breath uneven.

Then—

“Mr. Neo.....Neo,” the priest’s voice pulled me back to reality.

I blinked, lifting my gaze to him. He was smiling gently, waiting for my answer.

“Will you accept Mr. Ravin Rittavath as your husband?”

For a moment, time froze.

Husband.

That word hit me harder than I thought it would.

I turned slowly, my eyes meeting Ravin’s for the first time up close.

Those dark, black eyes of his — they didn’t just look at me, they looked through me, straight into my soul. His expression was unreadable, no emotion, no hint of what he might be thinking. Just quiet power and intensity.

For a second, I forgot where I was. My mind went blank, my body heavy.

But then reality hit again — the hundreds of eyes watching, the silence of the hall, the priest waiting.

“I—” I swallowed hard, forcing my voice to work. “Y-Yes, I do.”

The priest smiled and turned toward Rafael. “Mr. Ravin Rittavath, will you take Mr. Neo Wattarakul as your hus—”

“Yes, I do.”

The words came out sharp, cold, and fast — cutting through the air before the priest even finished. No hesitation. No warmth. Just certainty.

And before I could process that, the priest’s voice followed,

“Now you may seal your vows with a kiss.”

Wait… what? A Kiss?
