Love Me Or Not Its Your Choice
Rohan considered himself a smooth talker. Not just smooth—butter-on-toast level smooth. His friends even called him “Romeo Rohan,” though mostly to make fun of him. One bright Monday morning, he walked into his new office, confident, stylish, and already planning his next “casual charm mission.”
That’s when he saw her.
Aarushi. Sitting at her desk, earphones in, typing like her laptop owed her money. Her hair was tied in a messy bun, glasses slightly slipping down her nose, and her face screamed “don’t disturb me unless you want to die.” Naturally, Rohan decided to disturb her.
He leaned against her desk dramatically. “Hey beautiful, new here? Because I would’ve remembered seeing a smile like that.”
Without looking up, Aarushi replied, “I am new. And clearly, HR forgot to warn me about the office clown.”
Rohan blinked. “Ouch. That hurt more than my last electricity bill.”
Aarushi finally looked up. “Good. Maybe that’ll teach you not to use 2005 pickup lines in 2025.”
The office burst into laughter. Rohan, however, grinned. Challenge accepted.

Over the next few days, Rohan kept trying.
At the coffee machine:
Rohan: “You know, coffee isn’t the only thing that wakes me up in the morning.”
Aarushi: “I’m guessing your overconfidence does?”
At lunch:
Rohan: “Mind if I sit here? People say I have great company.”
Aarushi: “Then go sit with them.”
At one point, their manager even said, “Rohan, I think Aarushi’s job is roasting you full-time now.”
Rohan shrugged. “That’s okay. I’m into strong women.”
Aarushi rolled her eyes but secretly smiled when he wasn’t looking. His antics were ridiculous—but somehow funny.

One evening, everyone was working late on a project. The office was quiet except for typing and the hum of computers. Aarushi’s stomach growled loudly. She groaned.
Rohan peeked over his desk. “Hungry?”
She glared. “No, my stomach’s just clapping for your flirting skills.”
Rohan laughed and pulled out a lunchbox. “Good thing I brought extra food. You can insult me while eating.”
After a moment of hesitation, Aarushi sighed and accepted. “Fine. But if your food is bad, I’ll roast that too.”
They sat together, eating and talking—this time, without the jokes (well, not too many). Rohan told her about his love for old movies; Aarushi shared how she hated cheesy romance but secretly loved them anyway.
By the time they finished, the office lights dimmed, and they were the only ones left. Aarushi yawned. “You’re not as bad as I thought.”
Rohan grinned. “So you admit I’m a little good?”
“Don’t push your luck,” she said, smiling softly.

The next day, Rohan didn’t flirt. Not one line, not one joke. Aarushi found it strangely… quiet. She finally asked, “No flirting today?”
Rohan shrugged. “Didn’t want to annoy you.”
She tilted her head. “Wow, look who’s learning.”
He smiled faintly. “Or maybe I just realized… I’d rather you smile for real than roll your eyes at me.”
Aarushi laughed. “That’s your smoothest line yet.”
“Thanks,” he said. “I wrote it after ten rejections.”
She grinned. “Make it eleven.”
He sighed dramatically. “Still worth it.”
As she walked away, Aarushi turned back and said, “By the way, Romeo—bring lunch again tomorrow. Maybe I’ll roast you less.”
Rohan beamed. “That’s practically a love confession.”
She rolled her eyes. “Keep dreaming.”
And he did—every single day after that
