Shadows in the night glow

Lara's pursuit of truth deepens as Three Moons' Eve approaches; yet so too does the encroaching shadow of the cryptic relic, which once lay dormant for over a century. With each step, the line between light and darkness.

"Each step forward brings Lara's path closer to the ancient oak once thought safe from the relic's shadows. Yet, as night deepens, whispers of a forgotten prophecy whisper across the moonlit village -- the relic has awakened, its power stirring the very roots of the Oak and awakening the slumbering guardian. As the Three Moons converge, Lara must choose. To leave well enough alone, leaving the relic's secrets and the guardian's identity forever entombed within the Oak's mysteries… Or uncover the truth, awakening what's hidden from even the moonlight."

"Lara's gaze shifts to the village's edge; shadows dance eerily with each passing breeze. Her thoughts turn to the legends whispered among the elders – the relic's last sighting and the cryptic words of her grandmother. Could the guardian be the Oak's ancient spirit, awoken only under the convergence of the Three Moons?"

As Lara considers the gravity of the situation, a sudden rustling catches her attention. Turning toward the noise, she finds herself face to face with a lone bat, its wings shimmering in the moon's glow, as if caught in the very heartbeat of the encroaching night."

As Lara considers the gravity of the situation, a sudden rustling catches her attention. Turning toward the noise, she finds herself face to face with a lone bat, its wings shimmering in the moon's glow, as if caught in the very heartbeat of the encroaching night.

It doesn’t fly away.

Instead, it hovers mid-air for a breath—then darts sharply toward her chest before vanishing into thin air like mist. A cold ripple spreads across her skin where it passed through her body, and suddenly—*memories not her own* flood in.

A woman’s voice: *“When three moons return… guard what sleeps.”*

The same words as before—but deeper now. Older. More urgent.

Lara gasps and staggers back against the oak’s bark. The tree shudders faintly beneath her touch—as if responding—and a low hum pulses up from its roots into her palms. She closes her eyes and sees flashes: an amulet wrapped in cloth of midnight blue; flames rising around silhouettes chanting under eclipsed skies; then darkness… followed by silence that lasts centuries.

Then—a single breath underground.

Something is waking up.*

The village dogs begin to howl in unison far beyond the trees—their cries long and uneasy—and Lara knows they feel it too: something ancient stirs beneath Tolirio soil.

Her grandmother once said only blood could wake it… or stop it.

A gust rushes through bare branches above—ibises cry out overhead again—and this time their flight forms no pattern but pure chaos across silver-lit clouds.
