Chapter four

After Emily joined the team, Luca remembers what happened between him and his sister.

(Flashback)

Luca sits eating soup after Emily’s departure.

Lia enters and looks at him in confusion.

Lia:

> “Luca? Are you okay?”

Luca (looking into the soup):

> “Lia… I want to add Emily to the team.”

Lia (shocked):

> “Emily? Why?”

Luca stays silent for a few seconds… then raises his head with a mysterious look.

Luca:

> “There’s something I’ve been hiding from you.”

Lia:

> “What…?”

Luca:

> “Inside me… there is a spirit.”

Lia (not understanding):

> “A spirit?”

🔳 Flashback within a Flashback — The Wise Man’s Meeting

The wise man appears with a black background, and the sound of wind rises.

Wise Man:

> “When you choose the members of your team…

you will hear a voice inside you.

This voice tells you whether the person is suitable or not.”

Luca looks at the wise man, shocked.

Wise Man (in a heavy voice):

> “But be careful… this power may stand with you… or against you.”

The wise man suddenly disappears.

Luca extends his hand toward him as if about to say something… then freezes.

The memories shift from black and white to color.

Luca looks at Emily again…

with a gaze full of excitement… readiness… and decision.

Luca (thinking):

> “I’m ready.”

Emily looks at Luca with a tense tone:

Emily:

> “Now… what will we do?”

Luca (trying to regain calm):

> “We go back home. The team isn’t complete yet.”

He turns his back and starts walking.

Emily takes a step toward him:

Emily:

> “But… when will the team be complete?”

Luca:

> “When I find the right person.”

🔳 A fateful moment

On the way back… Luca hears strange sounds.

Laughter… loud talking…

It’s Jakan and Towami sitting on a rock, talking happily.

Luca freezes.

Suddenly…

The inner voice returns.

Wild… chaotic… rising like pounding on his skull.

Luca (grabbing his head tightly):

> “No… no… stop…”

The pressure grows.

He falls to his knees… his breath trembling.

Like knives stabbing into his brain.

Towami (standing quickly):

> “Hey! What’s happening to you?!”

Suddenly…

the voice disappears.

Everything calms.

Luca raises his head… his gaze mysterious, deep, and a little frightening.

Luca:

> “The thing is… I want both of you in the team.”

Jakan:

> “I don’t understand anything. What team?”

Luca (mysteriously):

> “I must form a team of six people.

It is what will protect us from the end of the world…

and fate has chosen you both.”

They stare at him for a moment… then Jakan smiles in shock:

Jakan:

> “Of course I agree! How could I not? We are the world’s saviors!”

Towami:

> “Of course we’ll join.”

Luca:

> “Stand.”

They don’t understand, but both stand immediately.

Luca:

> “Open your hands… and close your eyes.”

He extends his hand, touching theirs…

A small blue energy glows between their palms.

Luca:

> “Wish for an ability that will help you in the future.”

🔮 Their Wishes

Jakan:

> “I wish… for magic!”

He used to love magic a lot when he was little, but he had limited abilities for using it.

His eyes flash.

A small symbol appears on his wrist.

His abilities will be limited… but strong.

Towami whispers with unusual steadiness:

> “I wish… for speed.”

“And I wish… for energy from my hands that puts the enemy into eternal coma unless there is an antidote.”

“And I wish… for the ability to control people through their emotions… their weak points.”

But it wasn’t Towami who spoke these words…

It was something inside him telling him this.

His hands ignite with dark light…

The air trembles around him.

Luca looks at him sharply:

Luca:

> “Three wishes… dangerous.”

Luca:

> “With all this… the team still isn’t complete. We need another person.

And we need a base.”

Towami (in a wise voice for the first time):

> “Leave the base to me. I have a large storage place outside the village… it will be suitable.”

Luca:

> “We will no longer stay in the village.

We’re moving to the base.”

They exchange shocked looks.

Jakan:

> “But… what if one of the team members has family here?”

Luca (calmly, decisively):

> “Don’t worry… your families will remain safe.

The village is protected.”

Silence fills the air…

Then their faces show true readiness.

The look of a beginning team…
