EPISODE 1 — The Star They Don’t Know

The cameras adored him.

Flash after flash lit the red carpet like lightning as Aiden Vale, the world’s newest blockbuster idol, stepped out of a silver car. Fans screamed his name, holding posters, waving phones high like torches in the night.

Aiden smiled — the easy, perfect grin that sold millions.

But inside?

He felt the city trembling.

Through the music, the shouts, the glittering lights — he heard a sound no one else could. A low, distant rumble. Like a beast chained underground… waking.

He forced himself to keep walking.

A handler whispered into his ear,

“Wave left, then blow a kiss — the livestream is huge tonight.”

Aiden obeyed, laughing on cue. Cameras flashed. The crowd melted for him. The mask fit flawlessly.

But then his gaze caught on someone — a girl on the far edge of the barricade. Dark coat, rain in her hair, eyes fixed on him like she saw straight through the spotlight and skin… into the fear underneath.

The rumble grew louder — and Aiden’s heart stuttered.

It’s too early. Not here.

He looked away — fast.

He needed to get inside before—

The ground beneath a lighting tower cracked.

A scream.

Metal groaned.

The tower lurched forward, dropping toward the crowd.

Aiden didn’t think — he moved.

But he didn’t move like a human.

One breath — and time bent.

He blurred — crossing the distance in a heartbeat. His hand struck the tower’s frame, shadows rippling from his arm like living smoke, absorbing the crushing weight before it fell.

Silence.

Then gasps.

The tower now stood upright — as if nothing happened.

Aiden stepped back — shadows snapping to nothing, his pulse roaring in his ears. The girl with wet hair was staring wide-eyed… not at the tower…

At him.

Their eyes locked.

For a moment, he forgot the world.

The security team rushed in, pulling him away, blaming “equipment malfunction,” shoving microphones in his face. Cameras tried to rewind reality, searching for evidence of the impossible.

But they saw only an actor in the right place at the right time.

Only she saw the truth.

He reached the theater doors — exhale sharp, skin buzzing with leftover power he wasn’t supposed to use — not in public.

Inside, his manager hissed angrily:

“What were you thinking? You’re not a stuntman!”

Aiden looked into the mirror on the wall.

The perfect superstar stared back.

But behind his own reflection… for just a second… he saw something else climb up his spine — a dark, wing-shaped flare of power ready to consume him.

He blinked — and it was gone.

He muttered:

“Heroes don’t walk red carpets.”

But the city was changing.

Magic was waking.

And Aiden Vale had just blown his cover.

Somewhere outside, the girl who saw everything whispered:

“So… the rumors are true.”
