He literally handcuffed himself to Light. And then had the audacity to act like it was strictly business. No man does that. No straight man wakes up and thinks, “You know what would help this investigation? Physical proximity.” Sure, L. Very professional.

Also, L argues with Light like someone who doesn’t actually want to win, he just wants Light to keep talking to him. He'll say something so outrageous just to see Light react. THAT'S NOT HOW A DETECTIVE BEHAVES, PLEASE. It screams, “I like you and I don’t know how to handle it so I will annoy you until you look at me.”

AND MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE....THE RAIN SCENE where those two stood in the rain together, all wet and shit.

Then they get inside and Light is trying to act all composed, hair dripping everywhere like he’s in a shampoo commercial 😭, and L is staring at him with that "my majestic king, where have you been!?" look.

THE TOWEL MOMENT...

The way L dried Light IS EXACTLY HOW SNAILS MOVE (this reminded me of the chef who said "You cook like old people fuck" at Hell's Kitchen 🚶🏻) it was so awkward. L was patting him down like he's afraid that Light will explode if he touched him wrong where Light is being all non-chalant, pretending he doesn’t notice, but he absolutely NOTICES. I MEAN WHO WON'T if you're standing sooo close and breathing like you forgot how lungs work??

😭 Ahhh and when Light tries to take the towel back like, “I can do it myself,” and L stands there like a puppy kicked by his master.

THE REAL MENACHE BEHAVIOUR STARTS WHEN L WAS WIPING YAGAMI'S FEET. WHAT THE ACTUAL F-UCK!???

HE KNEELED IN FRONT OF LIGHT, TOOK HIS FEET IN HIS LAP, WIPING IT AND ALL THIS WHILE MAINTAINING THE EYE FUDGING CONTACT. BITCH WHAT!?

I CAN READ OUT LIGHT'S MIND..."What does this make us?? What're we?? Do we kiss after this!??" YES SIR, PLEASE. HE'S DESPERATE, CAN'T YOU SEE!? GIVE THAT MAN WHAT HE'S YEARNING FOR.

The whole scene was so intense for no reason 😭 I'm so sorry but L didn't have to wipe Yagami's feet at all, it was unnecessary.

[ When you actually watch that scene without clowning, it hits differently. I think it has to be one of the most emotionally heavy scenes in Death Note. L lets down his guard against Light and dies. I hate Yagami for this. ]
