“Joshua, abeg go and tell JSS2 to keep quiet. They’re disturbing the whole school.”

Joshua:

“Okay ma.”

He heads to JSS2, knocks the door loudly.

“Everybody keep quiet!”

Miss Tonia returns to class.

Miss Tonia:

“Social Science students, you have Mathematics.”

Mrs Uyi walks in carrying her textbook.

“Carry your chairs, let’s go to the empty class.”

Everyone groans but obeys.

📍 Scene 4 — Trigonometry Wahala

After settling in the other classroom…

Mrs Uyi:

“Okay, the first topic is How to Solve for Sine.

Firstly… what is sine?”

The class is silent.

Joshua raises his hand.

Joshua:

“Ma, sine is a mathematical function used in trigonometry. It describes the ratio of the opposite side to the hypotenuse in a right-angled triangle.”

Mrs Uyi:

“Correct!” 😄

She writes on the board:

✏️ Short Note — Sine (sin)

[

\sin(\theta) = \frac{\text{Opposite}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}

]

Properties:

Range: –1 to 1

sin(0°) = 0, sin(90°) = 1

Periodic wave

Used in physics, engineering, signals

Example:

Opposite = 3cm, Hypotenuse = 5cm

[

\sin(\theta) = \frac{3}{5} = 0.6

]

After writing, Mrs Uyi checks her wristwatch.

Mrs Uyi:

“That’s all for today. Thank you.”

She leaves.

Joshua:

“Finally, this class was stressful.”

Peter: “I swear!”

Dave: “Omo… next is CHS.”

Julian: “As how na?”

Everyone bursts into laughter because of his tone.

“A citizen is one who legally belongs to a nation.”

Mrs Emilia:
