Chapter one The Past.

Many new thought they would be sitting there in the dark of night listening to their own breaths and the growls of the undead, or the wolves that chase the living to give them hell. I on the other hand thought I did not fit into pack life, I fought my way into the world since i was a baby and always acted before thinking, never able to follow the command of my alpha. Even if I was an omega wolf, I would never give into the pressure to join up with a pack. My name is Avery, and I lived alone in the city of Beacon Hills, even if I was only 17. I know of two alpha here, Scott jankse and jason Hale the had combinded a pack.

My alarm clock buz out jerking me from my thoughts i had been a few days since i was able to sleep properly, my dreams had been contsince of nightmares that had me jerk upright and screaming and crying, my last pack where thrown apart by an alpha pack, i remember when the pack came to town and it brought back thing i wish would stay buryed. Levi and laim where part of my pack until they went on a raging murder spring. 

Carl had found me in the hallway corner by laim as he stared down at my 5’0 frame in shock that i had surivie his claws to the gut. carl had forced the alpha to back the hell of and I ran escaping down the hall.  I had done everything in my power to avoid the twins…

Something in my gut told me that something was not going to go right today, so I stood up and forced myself to get dressed. Yawning in the process I grabbed a bagel and ran out the door of my house, once to my rusted bucket of bolts and wheels I got in and started my drive to school, I could care less about others right now.

Once i stop at a red light i spotted a kid younger than me with blonde hair running to school like he enjoyed it, shaking my head i pulled into the schools parking lot, putting the car in park, i shut of the engine and made my way to the school’s door only to be stop by scott.” hey, Avery” he smiled, so was like an overgrown puppy with his warm chocolate eyes and crooked jaw and that smile that he wore. Scott knew I did not talk much and I nodded my head in acknowledgment and began to walk to my first class with the twins. They had joined Scott's pack after they became omegas again. Ethan and aiden looked up at me from their whispering and i shuffled to my seat and pulled out my work.

I found myself look out the window at the darkern sky when a horrible stench enter my nose causing a whine to come up and out of my mouth, why it so retched. Looking around i found the twin staring at a boy across the room who fell to the floor and puke up his food and blood, coming from his eyes and nose was more blood. The teacher kneeled down so she could see what was happening to the boy, but i knew he was dead, the kid had no heart beat and i was gasped.

“ He's dead” Liam said, his twin nodded and look over to me as I paled as i watch the dead boy take a bite out of the human's neck right where her scent gland would be if she was a wolf. I jumped back with a yelp as another human had come back dead and try to eat my arm, running to the door. I could see the hallways where the same, a whine left my lips as my omega was not happy. 

Pushing myself to move i pushed my way to the car, once in i lock my door and turn on the radio,

‘ nowhere is safe, the virus is out and anyone bitten or scratched deep enough will turn, two safe zone have been set up for atlanta and- ‘

The woman on the radio is cut off when her screams are heard.

Starting up the car I headed back to my home.

Throwing the door open I locked it behind me and started to dump my bag of books and run to the kitchen. Pulling out all my can goods and water. Shoving it into a back and grabbing a few extra clothes items, i make my way to my room and pull out my knife set and a gun then shove it into my bag.

The window to my living room opens and income’s the twins and derek and scott’s pack, great can’t wolves just leave me alone for a few years?” Why? “ I ask looking at the two older boys, this was something with the werewolves it was like they had no personal space, or comprehensive of state laws, if they could break in they would.

" scott and Jason said to bring you with us to the safe house, the world as we know it is gone." Liam said as he look to his twin.

" and why do I want to go with your sorry excuse for a pack?" I ask, it was true, scott and jason where horrible alphas, allowing the betas to trample over their omega counterparts. and as a omega I would never join a pack like that, the two alpha's had tons aside another alpha looking for a pack, sayings that two alphas males where enough, but was it really? they had one beta with a **** up past and now they are adding two murdering twins to their pack.

sigh i grabbing my bag like i would follow , before shifting and grabbing my bag in my teeth then ran, i was a different kind of wolf then the twins while they could only shift into a wolf-man while I could shift into a four legged massive black as night wolf.

I made a point to avoid road as much as possible.
