Chapter 4 : When Affection Turns Heavy

Felix had always thought of himself as ordinary. Sweet, maybe. Hardworking, definitely. But special? No. Not in the way the Stray Kids members seemed to see him.

Lately, their presence had become constant. If he turned around at rehearsals, one of them was there. If he tripped, a hand was already steadying him. If he so much as frowned, someone was at his side with water, a snack, or soft words of comfort.

And Felix—naïve, gentle Felix—was only beginning to realize it might not be coincidence.

---

It started small.

One morning\, Felix walked into a broadcast station lobby and immediately spotted **Hyunjin**. The tall alpha leaned against the wall\, his long hair falling across his sharp features. He looked like a painting come to life.

Felix tilted his head. “Hyunjin-hyung? What are you doing here? Don’t you have schedules today?”

Hyunjin’s lips curved into a lazy smile, but his eyes burned with something warmer. “My schedule ended early. Thought I’d wait for you.”

“For… me?” Felix blinked, clutching his bag closer.

“Mm.” Hyunjin reached out, brushing invisible lint from Felix’s sleeve. “Someone has to make sure you eat before you go on stage. You never remember on your own.”

Felix’s cheeks flushed. “That’s… really kind. Thank you.”

The way his voice trembled only made Hyunjin’s possessiveness coil tighter.

But before Hyunjin could savor the moment, a familiar voice cut in.

“Felix-ah!”

**Changbin** came jogging over\, arms full of takeout bags. His grin was wide\, but his eyes flickered when he saw Hyunjin standing so close.

“I got your favorite rice cakes! And some fruit juice,” Changbin announced proudly, shoving the bags into Felix’s hands. “Eat with me before your recording.”

Hyunjin’s smile tightened. “I already told him I’d take care of that.”

“And I *already* bought it\,” Changbin shot back\, his alpha energy spiking just enough to make the air heavy.

Felix stood between them, wide-eyed, clutching the food like a shield. “…Um… we can… share?”

His innocent attempt at peace made both alphas blink\, their tension faltering. The idea of *sharing* him made their hearts twist\, but they couldn’t resist when Felix looked up at them with hopeful eyes.

---

The more Felix noticed, the more the puzzle pieces clicked.

Seungmin, who used to tease him with sharp words, now carried his bag whenever they left the studio.

I.N, who was cheeky with everyone, turned soft-spoken and clingy around him.

Han, who was playful, always slipped compliments into their conversations, watching carefully for Felix’s reactions.

Lee Know, blunt as ever, started appearing in his kitchen at ungodly hours, cooking meals as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

And Chan… Chan’s gaze lingered the longest, warm but heavy, like he was holding back a thousand unspoken words.

Felix wasn’t dense. He was innocent, yes, but not blind. Slowly, shyly, he began to realize—

*They don’t just want to protect me. They… like me.*

The thought made his stomach flip.

---

It all came crashing together one evening in the practice room.

Felix had been struggling with a choreography, biting his lip in frustration as he repeated the same steps. He didn’t notice the door opening—until all seven alphas were there, watching.

“You’re pushing yourself too hard again.” Chan’s voice was gentle but firm.

Felix pouted. “But I need to get this right…”

Before he could argue further, Lee Know tugged him down to sit. “Rest first.”

Hyunjin immediately draped a towel over his shoulders. “You’re burning up.”

Changbin crouched to open a water bottle. “Drink.”

Han flopped beside him\, whining dramatically. “Why do you never let us help you\, Lixie? We *want* to.”

Felix’s chest squeezed at their devotion. He looked at each of them—their eyes, their small gestures—and his heart skipped.

“You guys…” he whispered, voice trembling. “You’re too good to me.”

Silence fell. Too heavy, too loaded.

It was Seungmin who broke it, his voice low. “We’re not ‘too good.’ We’re just giving you what you deserve.”

Felix swallowed, his heart hammering. The room suddenly felt smaller, warmer, as seven pairs of eyes pinned him in place.

He wanted to hide. He wanted to smile. He wanted to understand why his chest felt so full it ached.

And deep down, he already knew the answer:

They weren’t just friends.

They weren’t just alphas.

They were his pack.

---

That night, when Felix finally dozed off against Chan’s shoulder again, the others circled around silently.

Changbin brushed his thumb against Felix’s hand, fighting the urge to hold it.

Hyunjin traced gentle patterns on the blanket covering him.

Lee Know adjusted his position so Felix wouldn’t get a cramp.

Han leaned close enough to listen to his soft breathing, heart racing.

Seungmin and I.N shared a glance, quiet but filled with unspoken promise.

And Chan… Chan pressed the lightest kiss to Felix’s hair, whispering words too soft for anyone else to hear.

Ours. Always.

Felix shifted in his sleep, his lips curving in the faintest smile. Somewhere in his dreams, he felt it—their warmth, their love, their possessive devotion wrapping around him like sunlight.

And maybe… just maybe… he wanted to belong to them, too.
