all getting engaged

The question hit her harder than she expected.

She froze.

Clearing her throat, she caught her breath for a second and finally said,

“Yep… he is my brother. And there’s something you all need to know about him. He used to be one of my best brothers. But recently, he came up with a terrible idea—to get me as a girlfriend at any cost.”

The three of them stared at her.

“What????????” they shouted in unison.

I simply nodded, choosing silence.

The silence stretched halfway across the room until she suddenly noticed everyone’s expressions and snapped,

“What? What—did a cat catch your throat or something?”

Phil hesitated. “Actually… I don’t know what to say to you. That sentence was a bit hard for me to swallow.”

I forced a smile.

Kennedy, however, wasn’t ready to let the silence win.

“It’s simple. He needs a hole to fight in, and that asshole chose his own sister.” He turned to her sharply. “Miriyam, listen carefully—putting a full stop is better than putting a comma. Cut bonds that harm you. Whether it’s us three or your brother—if it’s not right for you, cut it immediately.”

She gasped and turned toward Thalam, about to say something.

But Thalam wore a naughty smile.

“Well… since we’re sharing outcasted topics,” he said casually, “I think I’m in love with your friend.”

She rolled her eyes. “What, Phil?!”

“I knew it!” she continued dramatically. “I suspected you guys were gay from the very beginning. Now this—”

Before she could finish, thalam interrupted, waving his hands.

“Wait, what? Why is your mind always dirty? I meant your girly best friend.”

“Ferhan…”

Miriyam blinked. “Huh? What? Kennedy, are you hearing all this?”

Thalam smirked. “He has something to say too. He’s also in love—with Noor.”

Miriyam sighed deeply.

“So much has happened between us. Since you all hid things from me too, I guess we’re even now.” She paused, then smirked.

“By the way, Phil… don’t you have someone to love? Or are you exactly gay?”

Phil raised one eyebrow.

“Gay, right??? You—”

Before he could finish, he ran after her, trying to chase her down the hallway.

Meanwhile, Thalam and Kennedy stood watching the chaos.

“What is Phil up to now?” Thalam asked.

Kennedy shrugged.

“He was a bit late to confess. When he finally did, she thought it was a joke. Now he’s crying on the inside and playing the role of a messenger. Strange, right?”

They both laughed quietly, watching the two of them fight like children.
