Mr jeon pov :
Mr. Jeon, the triplets' father, woke up first and found all three boys cuddled around him with their small frames. A soft smile spread across his lips as he carefully got up, gently laying them back on the bed and pulling a thin blanket over their warm bodies.
"Sleep tight, babies. Appa has to go," he murmured, placing soft kisses on their hair before leaving the bed to get ready for work.
After freshening up, he went into the kitchen to cook something for breakfast. As he searched for ingredients, he noticed how little was left. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he gripped the counter tightly, frustration welling up inside him-frustration at himself, his situation, his cruel fate, and most of all, at the fact that his three innocent children were suffering because of it.
It wasn't as if he didn't notice his children's unspoken dreams, their needs, their silent suffering, and their hidden pain. He knew everything. He saw how his three sons hid their old, worn-out shoes just so he wouldn't worry.
"What a terrible father I am... I can't even support my children's dreams and needs. God, forgive me. I couldn't give them a mother, and now, I can't even be the perfect father they deserve. You left us alone, Eon-jin..." He closed his eyes, remembering his wife's face-the woman who had left long ago, abandoning him and their three angels to this cruel world.
He wasn't sad for himself. He was sad for the three innocent children who never got to experience a mother's love-yet never once did they complain. Instead, they understood. And for that, he was endlessly grateful.
He knew his sons would choose silent suffering over blaming their father. And in a way, that made him proud. At such a young age, they already understood the depth of their bond. It was something he would forever be thankful to God for.
If not for his three boys, he wouldn't have had the strength to go on. But every morning, they opened their eyes-motherless, yet full of life-and he chose to live for them. To be everything they needed. To be both their mother and father.
As he was about to start cooking, he heard a soft sniffle behind him. Turning around, he found his older son-his enigma son-standing there with his eyes still closed. A gentle chuckle escaped his lips.
"Appa..." his son mumbled in a sleepy voice, slowly walking toward him. With messy hair, an old shirt, and loose shorts, he looked utterly adorable in his drowsy state.
Jungkook sleepily raised his small hands in a grabby motion, wordlessly asking to be held. Without hesitation, he scooped him up into his arms.
"Appa," he said in a small voice, snuggling into his enigmatic father's embrace. To his father, he was his one true enigma in the world, yet he had to hide this because of their poverty. His father made him and his younger brother wear scent-blocker lockets.
Mr. Jeon "Good morning, Jungkook. How did you sleep?"
Jungkook yawning "I slept well, Appa. I dreamed of a bright, sunny place."
Mr. Jeon: "That sounds lovely. Tell me about your dream.
Jungkook: "It was a place full of light and happy sounds. I felt safe there, just like when I'm with you."
Mr. Jeon: smiling and gently stroking his hair "I'm glad you feel safe with me. Even on hard days, our love will always keep us warm."
Jungkook: "I sometimes wonder about the lockets we wear, Appa. They make me feel different, but I know they keep us safe."
Mr. Jeon: "Yes, Jungkook. The lockets remind us that even though life is not always easy, we must stay strong and protect our bond."
Jungkook: "I love you, Appa. Your hugs make me feel like I can face anything."
Mr. Jeon: "I love you too, Jungkook. As long as we have each other, every day will be brighter."
Jungkook: "Thank you, Appa. Let's enjoy this beautiful day together."
"Let me cook while you wake up the twins-you all have to go to school, right?" Mr. Jeon said softly.
Jungkook nodded and hurried to the twins' room. When he entered, he found Jungguk and Kook fast asleep, their little bodies buried under tangled blankets.
Jungkook: "Hey, Jungguk! Kook! It's time to get up!"
Jungkook tapped gently at first, but the twins only mumbled, "Just five more minutes..." in their sleep.
Jungkook "Come on, guys, you're going to be late! Appa said you need to get ready."
Jungkook's attempts grew more insistent. He gently shook Jungguk's shoulder while calling softly, "Jungkuk, wake up!"
Meanwhile, Kook stirred slightly but clung tightly to his blanket.
Kook (half-asleep, grumbling): "I don't wanna get up... It's too cozy here."
Jungkook (sighing): "I know it's cozy, but school waits for no one. Please, try to wake up."
Jungkuk murmuring as his eyes fluttered open "I'm still so tired, Jungkook... Why does school have to be so early?"
Kook finally opening one eye "Yeah, can't we just sleep a bit longer?"
Jungkook (firm yet gentle): "I wish we could, but appa is counting on us. We need to get up and get ready. Let's go, okay?"
At that moment, a soft voice drifted from the doorway as Mr. Jeon peered in.
Mr. Jeon: "Jungkook, I appreciate your effort. Twins, remember, the day awaits, and so do your dreams. Now, up you get."
Jungkuk, now half-awake, replied: "Alright, Appa. I'm getting up."
Kook, still reluctant, whispered: "Okay... I'm coming."
Jungkook helped pull the covers away as the twins slowly sat up. Their eyes, heavy with sleep, eventually brightened with acceptance as they realized they had no choice but to face the new day. The conversation softened into sleepy compliance, and soon, the room filled with the gentle hum of a morning routine being set in motion.
Jungkook, Jungguk, and Kook stepped into the small living room, their worn uniforms hanging on their slight frames. Though the uniforms were old, they were as familiar as a second skin-each thread a testament to countless school mornings. On the table, neatly arranged lunchboxes awaited them, a silent reminder of their Appa's care despite the hardships.
Mr. Jeon stood by the door with his briefcase, a gentle seriousness in his eyes.
Mr. Jeon: "Boys, it's time. Appa has to leave for work."
Jungkook adjusted his tie and glanced at his brothers.
Jungkook: "Alright, let's get ready. Jungguk, Kook, come on!"
In the corner, Jungguk stirred slightly, still reluctant to leave the comfort of sleep.
Jungkuk: (groggily) "But I'm not really awake yet..."
Kook tugged at his shirt, eyes half-closed as he mumbled,
Kook: "Do we really have to go so early?"
Jungkook's tone grew a bit firmer as he replied,
Jungkook: "Yes, we do. Appa needs us to be on time. Let's hurry up now."
Mr. Jeon watched them with a calm resolve as he prepared to step out.
Mr. Jeon: "I know it's hard, boys, but we all have to do our part. Once you're at school, the day will move along quickly."
Reluctantly, Jungguk and Kook began to shake off their sleep. Jungguk sat up, rubbing his eyes, while Kook stretched and yawned, both accepting the inevitable start of a new day.
The small living room filled with the soft sound of their footsteps as they moved towards the door, lunchboxes in hand. Mr. Jeon gave them a final nod before stepping out, leaving behind the quiet determination of a family facing another day together.
Mr. Jeon paused at the doorway, smiling as he ruffled his sons' hair and planted soft kisses on their heads.
"Goodbye, boys. Be safe and have a great day at school," he said, patting each of them on the back before leaving for work.
The trio stood in the living room for a moment, sharing a warm group hug. Then, together, they closed the door behind them and set off on their walk to school. The air was pretty cold that morning-a chill they had grown used to over the years-but it didn't dampen their spirits.
As they walked side by side, they talked softly about their day ahead and comforted one another with small gestures of care. The familiar routine, the brisk winter air, and the gentle bond between them made each step feel like home.
As they strolled along the familiar path to school, the brisk morning air and their quiet chatter accompanied them. Suddenly, Kook's eyes caught a glimpse of the dance and singing center, and his feet came to a reluctant halt. He stood transfixed, his gaze fixed on the vibrant display of movement and music.
Jungkook glanced over and noticed the change in his twin's demeanor. Both boys' expressions softened as Kook's gentle, omega-blessed voice, so naturally melodious, silently yearned for a chance to shine on that stage-a chance they knew was beyond their reach for now.
Jungkook stepped closer and softly patted Kook's back. "Hey, don't worry, Kook. I know it hurts to see something you wish you could be a part of," he murmured, his tone warm and reassuring.
Kook leaned slightly, a mix of sadness and frustration in his eyes. "I wish I could join them, you know? I feel like my voice... it could make a difference," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper.
Jungkook squeezed his shoulder gently. "I believe in you, little brother. Maybe now isn't our time, but that doesn't mean your voice won't reach the stars someday," he said with calm conviction.
For a moment, the twins shared a quiet understanding as they resumed their walk. Their eyes lingered on the center one last time before they turned their focus back on the familiar route to school-a reminder that even though their dreams might seem far away, the warmth of their bond and each other's support could help them face every challenge ahead.
The twins arrived at school with soft smiles, ready to welcome the day. As they stepped into the familiar halls, they greeted every teacher with a gentle nod and a warm "Good morning." In their classroom, they found their usual seats: Kook sat in the middle, with Jungkook and Jungguk on either side. They exchanged quiet smiles, a silent promise of support and friendship, as the classroom filled with the soft murmur of early lessons and the anticipation of a new day.
