CHAPTER TWO : HIS WISHES

SANYA, Hainan, CHINA

In Xiu Ying's vacation house, which was near Yalong Bay which was a well-known site for tourists and a good place to relax and enjoy a nice vacation. She stayed in a spacious villa filled with a lot of fancy and expensive items. Each room had a specific essence and aura that would make one speechless. The living room was very large with a glass table in the middle, some paintings hung near the newest version of LG OLED television, the couches matched all the other items kept in the living room and kitchen, which was really close to the living room. The kitchen had everything and was almost as spacious as the living room, not to talk about the room.

Xiu Ying laid on the couch in the living room. She was fast asleep after drinking a lot. She was drunk and devastated. She felt sorry for not being able to figure out her father's murder. The room was filled with the buzzing of Xiu Ying's phone and the ringing of the doorbell. Xiu Ying groans loudly, she slowly opens her eyes and puts her right hand on her forehead.

Xiu Ying sat down calmly, staring at Mr. Ito as he poured her a cup of tea. He offered her the tea cup...she glared at him for a while before bowing as she reached for the cup. "Xiu Ying, I know you won't agree to our proposal to go on a vacation for a year" he said as he poured himself a cup of tea, "..... Our proposal? Or your means of getting rid of me?" Xiu Ying said, frowning heavily as she stared at Mr. Ito. He chuckled and then took a sip of his cup of tea, "Is he serious? Why? Mr. Ito, why?" she thought to herself as she glared as different emotions blocked her sense of reasoning.

"Do you know why we are a secret organization? Do you know our main purpose as members of the SOC?" he asked abruptly.

"To protect the people, arrest criminals and keep the government in a good image" she said, shrugging. He nodded in agreement....." Exactly.... And you are one of those people we are protecting..... tracking down an invincible murderer over the years, just like your father" He said the last part with a sad tone as he dropped his cup of tea before he continues "He was obsessed over a particular family and their business, and eventually they murdered him.... You know the same family your obsessing over.... The Lee Family"

The Lee Family, that family was a very prestigious family well known for their love for Chinese culture and aid in the development of China. For 40 years, they made a huge impact on China, but suddenly they disappeared from the face of the world. But a few years later, they suddenly appeared and turned their backs on those they once helped. They became the worst China had yet seen. They formed gangs all around Asian and made big waves in the drug business, led by the one and only heir of that family.... Lee Chan Juan, was only 10 years old when he took his father's place. She shouted her last statement and stood up. "Xiu Ying! If you don't cooperate, I will have no option but to cancel your body-guarding license and fire you!" he said with an angry tone, he brought out a Smart card and a black card. " The envelope contains your airplane tickets and car keys... The Smart card leads to your already paid villa in Sanya. The car is parked there just for you, the black card is a company's card, and it will cover all your expenses...."

"Why are there two Smart cards and tickets? I'm not going alone, am I ?" she said, checking the envelope. Mr. Ito stayed quiet for a while and then finally looked at her and said, "You are going with Hyo-ru, he will be your personal bodyguard and chauffeur till your retirement is over..... Give up on your obsession and relax during your vacation".

"Let me guess, Hyo-ru is watching me for you..... But why him? As depressing as it is.... I must abide by Dad's last wishes" she thought to herself as she stood up to leave with the envelope and the cards. "Oh... And Xiu Ying..... I will be watching you... so don't try anything foolish or dangerous or else I will be forced to fire you" he said, giving her a cold gaze. She glanced at him and left.

PRESENTLY

She sighed deeply as she remembered this. The living room was filled with empty whiskey bottles, champagne bottles and broken wine glasses. The front door opens, Hyo-ru walks in and drops the grocery bags in the kitchen. "It's fucking dark in here" he says as he walks towards the living room. He hits a champagne as he walks into the living room, he puts on his flashlight in search of the smart curtain controller. The soft whirring sound of the curtain fills the room. Xiu Ying groaned loudly as the light shone on her face. She slowly opened her eyes. " Was I not destined to be a spy? Was I not supposed to follow in your footsteps?".
