Pihu And Juwi
Juwi's eyes scanned the plane's seating chart, a smile spreading across her face when she spotted her seat number near Pihu, a girl she'd met briefly at the airport in Mumbai. She settled into her seat and greeted the last passenger to board, Shaina, a rich Indian girl who looked like she'd rather be anywhere else.
"Hi," Juwi said with a friendly smile, but Shaina ignored her, muttering under her breath. "I cannot believe this, me in the Economy class, I won't sphere them." Pihu, oblivious to the exchange, plugged in her headphones and lost herself in music.
The flight attendants began their safety demonstrations, and Juwi's mind wandered back to the night before her departure. She was in her room, surrounded by luggage, looking uncertain. Her brother Rohit entered, concern etched on his face.
"Hey, Juwi, you okay? Don't want to go?" he asked, sitting beside her.
Juwi sighed. "I don't want to, brother. I'm scared."
Rohit put a reassuring arm around her. "I know, but you'll be fine. You'll meet people – good and bad. Just stick with the good ones."
Juwi nodded, determination creeping in. "I'll meet people, but I won't show I'm rich. I want honest relationships, not ones based on our family's money."
Rohit smiled. "Good luck, sis. It'll be fun."
They shared a warm smile, and Juwi felt a surge of determination.
The plane landed, and passengers disembarked. As they collected their luggage, Juwi mistakenly grabbed Shaina's bag, while Shaina picked up Juwi's. Pihu hailed a taxi and left without noticing the mix-up.
Shaina's family driver, Arun, greeted her with a bow. "Welcome, Miss Shaina."
Shaina slid into the luxury car, still fuming. "Why would Dad send me here with you?" she snapped.
Arun smiled calmly. "Maybe because I'm worthy, ma'am. Where would you like to go now?"
Shaina huffed. "Home. I need to rest and change these clothes – contaminated by economy poor people."
Arun nodded. "As you wish."
Pihu and Juwi arrived at the University of London campus at the same time, exchanging awkward smiles.
"You, again," Pihu said, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, you're also here?" Juwi replied, grinning.
Pihu shrugged. "Guess so."
Juwi extended a hand. "Alright, maybe we can be friends, right?"
Pihu hesitated, thinking, _Why would I do that, I just met you._ "Okay then," she said aloud.
As they entered the hostel, they were assigned the same room. Inside, they met Dimpy and Mauli, their new roommates. The four girls eyed each other warily, unsure what the year ahead held.
"Guess it's us four now," Dimpy said, breaking the ice.
The others nodded, and Juwi smiled, feeling a spark of excitement. Little did she know, this was just the beginning.
The girls began to unpack, introducing themselves and sharing stories about their hometowns. Pihu was from Delhi, Dimpy from Bangalore, and Mauli from Bangalore. Juwi was the only one from Mumbai, but she quickly felt at ease with her new roommates.
Their adventure was about to begin, filled with new experiences, friendships, and challenges. But for now, they were just happy to be in London, starting a new chapter in their lives.
