CHAPTER 1: THRONES OF CHAOS

Chapter 1: Thrones of Chaos

Written by Kingson

The city of Alexandria gleamed under the golden sunset, but the beauty was a lie. Behind every palace door, every market street, every glittering canal, darkness moved like smoke. Power was currency. Loyalty was fragile. And betrayal… betrayal was a way of life.

Cleopatra strolled through the grand hall of her palace, heels clicking against marble floors. Her eyes were sharp, calculating. Her smile, deadly. People whispered her name like a prayer… or a curse. She didn’t care which. Both terrified her enemies and fascinated her allies.

“Antony,” she called softly, not turning around. “Where are you?”

From the shadows, Antony Montague appeared. Dressed in black, knife glinting at his belt, eyes like storms. He was every bit her equal — dangerous, smart, ruthless. His calm demeanor hid the chaos he could unleash in a heartbeat.

“You summoned me, queen?” he asked, voice smooth as silk but sharp as a blade.

Cleopatra smirked. “There’s a new threat in the city. Traders, gangs, even soldiers… all moving against me. I want it crushed before it even breathes.”

Antony nodded, his lips curling into a small smile. “You want them dead or afraid?”

“Both,” Cleopatra replied. “Fear first. Then death. Let the world remember my name.”

A message arrived from the docks: a rival gang had tried to claim Cleopatra’s territory. The leader, a fat, arrogant man named Darius, thought he could take a piece of her empire. He thought wrong.

Cleopatra and Antony moved to the docks like predators. The air smelled of saltwater, smoke, and betrayal. Ships swayed in the harbor. Men whispered in fear as Cleopatra stepped forward, eyes glowing with cold fire.

Darius laughed. “You can’t—”

The first bullet shattered the silence. Not from a gun — from Cleopatra’s thrown dagger, precise and deadly, slicing through the rope holding Darius’ weapon. Antony moved at the same time, knives flashing, taking out the guards before they could even raise their weapons.

The docks erupted into chaos. Fire, smoke, screams. Cleopatra’s laugh carried over the sound of gunfire, soft but terrifying. Antony moved beside her, silent but lethal. Together, they were unstoppable.

Darius fell to his knees, eyes wide with fear. “I… I surrender!”

Cleopatra tilted her head, dagger resting against his throat. “Surrender? No. You will learn… power is earned in blood, not words.”

Antony’s eyes met hers. “As always,” he said softly.

Word of Cleopatra and Antony’s ruthlessness spread quickly. Traders, gangs, even corrupt officials whispered their names. They were chaos incarnate, feared across Alexandria and beyond.

And yet, a shadow loomed. From far across the sea, rumors whispered of a city ruled by Romeo Montague, survivor of another storm — Juliet Capulet’s kingdom, now ashes. His story reached Cleopatra, a dark smile forming on her lips.

“He survived,” she murmured, eyes narrowing. “Interesting. Perhaps a storm worthy of attention.”

Antony smirked. “And perhaps… a storm to exploit.”

Not all in Alexandria were loyal. Antony’s spies reported whispers of betrayal — generals conspiring, merchants cheating, guards thinking they could outsmart Cleopatra.

Cleopatra’s gaze hardened. “We will teach them fear… the same way we teach the world chaos.”

Antony nodded. “And none will survive who stand in our path.”

Cleopatra’s smile was cold, beautiful, and terrifying. “None. And if anyone dares… I want their blood to mark our empire.”

Alexandria was alive — but not with life. Every shadow hid a plot. Every alley whispered betrayal. And Cleopatra ruled it all. Her empire, her rules, her chaos.

Antony stepped beside her. “The world outside knows nothing of us. But soon… they will.”

Cleopatra’s eyes sparkled like fire in the dusk. “Let them come. Let them see the storm. We are the rulers now… and nothing can stop us.”

A raven flew overhead, carrying a small note. Cleopatra opened it silently:

“Romeo Montague survived. The Fallen Roses Universe is growing. He walks alone now… but the storm continues. Prepare for the collision.”

Cleopatra’s lips curved into a dark smile. “Romeo, Juliet, your ashes will feed my empire. And next… we rise.”

Antony’s hand found hers. “Together?”

“Together,” Cleopatra whispered.

And the sun set over Alexandria, blood-red and golden. The empire of chaos had begun.
