The five commandos

Rain continues to pour over Kurogane City, but deep underground, the Assassins’ fortress is dry and alive with activity.

Miro Hakimajiro collapses onto a bench in the central hall, his body bruised, soaked, and trembling from the night’s events. The Haitan mark on his wrist pulses faintly, almost like a heartbeat of its own.

Lola stands beside him, silent, her Tonto resting against her shoulder.

A voice suddenly echoes over the PA system:

“Attention all divisions. The new candidate has survived his first test. He will be introduced to the commanders.”

Miro freezes. “Commanders? Already?”

Lola smirks faintly. “Welcome to the deep end.”

Scene 1 — The Assembly

The central chamber opens into a massive circular room. Dim lights illuminate five elevated platforms, each marked with a crimson emblem.

One by one, figures step forward.

First, Kikyu Yujimaki — Division 1.

• A poised woman in sleek armor, her long hair tied in a flowing braid.

• She holds a blade as thin as a needle, glowing faintly red.

• Her eyes are cold, calculating, but with an elegance that commands respect.

She steps down gracefully and bows slightly to Miro.

“So you are the one marked by Haitan. Don’t disappoint Division 1.”

Second, Urozaru Bang — Division 2.

• A wild-looking punk with metal piercings, tattoos crawling up his arms, and a chain-wrapped katana.

• He smirks at Miro, spinning his blade on a finger.

“Heh… rookie, you’ve got guts. Let’s see if your guts can survive the streets, not just the arena.”

He laughs loudly, a manic energy filling the room, and then disappears in a blur, reappearing behind Miro, just to show off his speed.

Third, Jacoby Morrison — Division 3.

• A femboy commander with sharp blue eyes, styled hair, and a calm, almost disarming smile.

• He wields a water patterned katana with precision.

• His appearance contrasts the chaos of Urozaru Bang, but his aura radiates dangerous finesse.

He walks forward, tilting his head at Miro.

“Impressive mark… you could become a beautiful weapon… if you control your instincts.”

Jacoby’s voice is soft but carries a subtle threat; elegance masking lethality.

Fourth, Pocchu Reikumaki — Division 4.

• A feline hybrid with sharp ears, glowing amber eyes, and retractable claws.

• He crouches low, tail flicking, moving with fluid tension.

“Sniffing out the weak is a hobby of mine… let’s see if you’re worth chasing.”

Pocchu slashes the air with incredible speed, demonstrating combat prowess in a blink. Miro flinches instinctively.

Fifth, Reiko Sumurou — Division 5.

• Undead commander, pale skin stitched in some areas, eyes hollow with a psychopathic gleam.

• Her movements are jerky yet unnervingly precise, a grin that could unnerve even the strongest veteran.

“Ha! Another fresh toy… Let’s see how long your soul lasts when I play.”

She steps toward him, her presence alone chilling the hall.

Scene 2 — The Judgement

Director Kaien steps forward, arms crossed.

“Miro Hakimajiro, you have survived your first mission. But the Assassins are more than missions. You must learn discipline, hierarchy, and control. These are the five commanders of the organization.”

Each commander steps forward in turn, their presence filling the chamber. Miro feels the pressure of five different personalities, each radiating strength, danger, and unpredictability.

Kaien continues:

“They will each evaluate you. Survive their tests, and you may claim your place. Fail… and Haitan will ensure you are forgotten.”

Miro swallows. His wrists burn. He feels the mark pulse with anticipation.

Scene 3 — Tension

The commanders circle him slowly.

Kikyu eyes his stance.

Urozaru taps his chain with a smirk.

Jacoby tilts his head, studying his hands.

Pocchu crouches like a predator.

Reiko steps close, sniffing at his aura like a scavenger.

Miro realizes the truth: this is not training. This is the first real lesson in the hierarchy of the Assassins.

Lola steps behind him, whispering:

“Keep your head. Don’t be weak… but don’t fight recklessly.”

Miro nods, gripping the Tonto tightly.

The five commanders’ eyes gleam simultaneously.

“Show us your worth,” Kikyu says softly.

And in that moment, Miro feels the full weight of his choice to join.

Money brought him here—but survival will demand everything else.

Scene 4 — Cliffhanger

Outside the chamber, unseen eyes observe the assembly through surveillance. The Police have picked up Haitan activity—Miro’s awakening is now on their radar.

Meanwhile, above the underground fortress, a storm rages. Rain lashes against steel rooftops, neon reflecting in violent streaks.

Narration:

“He has survived the night, but the night is only the beginning.

Five commanders, each a blade of destiny, now test him.

Miro Hakimajiro is no longer a boy chasing money…

He is a weapon.

And the war is watching.”

Final panel:

All five commanders standing above him, imposing, intimidating, their eyes locked on Miro.

The black Haitan mark pulses violently.

Lightning splits the sky above the fortress.
