The study room was eerie quiet,as Zander sat on his chair scrubbing away on documents,his eye dull red and his hair falling down on his face..It was calm until the sound of knocking on the door broke away the quietness.

Zander eyes flashed with a glint as he muttered," come In "...

Sound of footstep soon resounded through the study room as Quinn entered, giving a small bow before proceeding to report.

" My Lord we found the owner of the arrow"...

That seems to catch his attention as he looked up waiting.

" The arrow belong to the Brandon's house,and the girl who fired the arrow was his niece"...

" Brandon ... niece "...

Zander frowned in confusion,"yes my Lord,the girl is the discarded daughter of the Silvain family "...

A pause,then a chuckled ,then a deep laughter resounded through his body.Quinn just looked in confusion," what was funny why was the lord laughing "...

" That girl combat skill is even better than even higher vampires,how ironic "....

Quinn frowned," my Lord she's just a persky human,am sure she can't defeat I a high vampire ".

His word only got a playful smirk from Zander as he replied"we see"...

Zander grunt in dissatisfaction, eyebrow raised sharply," whatever at least that should keep him in check to not send stupid idiot to my castle "...

Exiting the room,Zander rammed his fingers on the desk,a bloodthirsty glint flashed past his eyes that girl, the scratch she caused he was going to get her for it in a slowly torturous way.

The lotus lake at the back of the barrack was still,the moon reflecting in the surface giving a peaceful scene which soon got disrupted by pebbles thrown into it,it wavy surface was dancing to the tune of the disturbance before restoring it calmness.

"Your still as grumpy as ever Wild cat"...

" You don't have any right to call me that you ....." Camilla paused hearing the familiar voice eyes wide with shock before whipping her head to look at him ..

" Alexander,you ....."

" Oh wild cat aren't you going to give me a hug or you don't want your cousin anymore"...

Camilla giggled before dashing her figure flashed hugging him tight."I missed you,what of Alexia ". Camilla asked not seeing his twin sister...

" Oh that,girl is nothing but a pain in the neck"...

" Big brother don't badmouth me in front of Camilla,this isn't fair"...

" Here we go away"Alexander mumbled with an eye roll seeing Alexia walk closer.

" Sister".... Camilla greeted with a small smirk leaving alexia annoyed.

" Brat what are you thinking of in that head of yours"..

Alexia couldn't be bothered to deal with her before asking," I heard what happened between you,Anna and Lorenzo "..

" Oh those spineless idiots,got to put them in there place ,as least for a while there would be some peace and quiet and no buzzing mosquitoes around the barrack"...

"I don't care cause I think,it's cool I especially likes how you dealt with that lowly Anna,if I was here I would have smashed her head in the pit".Alexia huffed in annoyance, Camilla and Alexander shared a look before walking towards the direction of the barrack..

Camilla scoffed holding Alexander hand calmly a mischievous smile on her lips.

" Anyways never mind let's go in,mom must be expecting us"..

Inside the warm dinning hall,Alexia voice boomed,"Mom Alexander and Camilla are bullying". .

Cathy looked at her daughter with distain"oh quite that nonsense how old are you,I should be the one scolding you for always bullying Camilla, spoilt brat"...

Alexia was rendered speechless as she looked at her mother with wide eyes.

" Mom how could you said that,am your daughter"she whined dramatically causing Brandon lips to twitched.

Alexia blinked doubting life,it wasn't supposed to be like this why had the plot changed,she huffed and went to sit,her hand stretching to pick a small moon cake when Cathy slapped her hand causing her to suck in a cold breath in pain.

Alexia pouted unhappily, cursing the duos on being slow, Camilla and Alexander soon entered and Alexia taking advantage of Cathy looking at them to stuff a cake in her mouth, earning her a pinch from her mother.

Alexia winched eyes wide and cheek full with food,Cathy looked at her with annoyance," what a pig,no sense of elegance at all"...

Alexia was nearly in tears,did her mom really had to embarrassed her like this,"brat what are you looking at"glaring at Camilla who had a smirk on her face.

Alexia got hit in the back,Cathy scolded her "what brat,I think you're the best, don't bully your little sister she is not a pig eating inelegant idiot like you"...

Alexander pressed his lips hard to stop laughing but his trembling shoulders betrayed him, Camilla threw Alexia a haughty smirk,she huffed in annoyance before shifting towards her father.

"Move back"...

"Dad why....."she asked in confusion.

" I don't want you implicating me"Brandon said without battling an eye as he slipped his wine.

" Young lady move away from my husband this instant"Cathy glared at her daughter who had her eyes widened with grievances.

Alexander chuckled , looking as his twin sister who sneakily stuffed another cake into her mouth,"use your fork, table manners young lady"...

The atmosphere was warm and peaceful but got disrupted when some people barged into the room, Christopher and Aleric bowed to Brandon..

" General there's a problem,we tried to stop them but we couldn't"..

" This morning ehmm... something happened and Anna and Lorenzo were beaten up,there family came to seek justice for them"...

Everyone sitting at the table frown but Camilla was calmly eating her dish.

" Lord Brandon where is that low life breed"...

Everyone frozen as a knife suddenly found it way to Mr Roger shoulder blade,he removed cursing, another knife aimed at his face which he narrowly dodged but still got cut.

Mr Roger breath hitched seeing a pair of bloody red eyes staring at him,on the girls hand was another knife which she was playing with her fingers, swirling it round,the edge caught in the light sent a reflection of coldness down his bone.

Mr Roger with a stiff body gulped down in fear,as he wondered why he a fifth rank vampire was horrified of her...

The king was currently reading some ancient scrolls,when the door burst open his personal guard coming in hastily before falling on his kneels and bowing.

"Your Majesty, there's news from Bleawky"..

" About time"The King rolled up scroll,his red eyes stared at his guard,who placed a red sealed envelope in front of him,and standing in the shadows.

"Jennifer,the new mistress making her the 18th mistress,tsk,that old viper such plan this way not leaving any leeway for my brother,that curse on him will not only harm his females,but also himself"...

The king paused before continuing," he would lose himself to the madness of his power and I would have to kill him,those old witches have it all planned out, killing our Royal parents wasn't enough but my younger brother too"

"Your Majesty,the duke can still be saved,if he finds his soul mate,an hybrid to be precise".

" The hybrids had gone into extinction a century ago,the last one was said to be born soon,but how soon we don't even know if she will even be around yet still he loses himself to the madness "...

" Kraven tell me I need your opinion on this,we have fought side by side ".

Kraven paused hearing this before speaking," pardon me for saying your Majesty but,we can resort to the ancient selection of bride who knows if we might find someone to break the curse"...

The king frowned,his finger tapping gently on his head,before speaking.

"Then we do that ,I will prepare a royal degree,across the capital,and locals spread the messages we are hosting it in the palace the bride selection nothing must go wrong".

The king walked along the corridor when he caught sight of Avina who was going to her room to retire for the night,a mischievous smirk made it way to his lips.

Avina who was oblivion to anyone presence suddenly turned around when she felt cold.

" W ....who goes there"...

Avina gulped slowly,eyes warily staring at the shadow,she turned around to continue when she felt some tap her shoulder, causing her to nearly jump out of her skin.

" Ahhhh...."

She turned around and saw no one only endless darkness,only the lantern she was carrying and few candles were lighted,with shaky breath,she walked quicken her steps when she heard sound of someone following her.

Thud!...

She fell on the floor,and got up the lantern light had turned off, without waiting she stood up only to meet a red eyes before she could scream,her wrist was caught, pulling her closer,her brain filled with blankness.

"P... please..d... don't kill me "..

She sluttered fearfully earning chuckling from the king,who snapped his finger and the candles in the hallway all light up brightening the corridor showing the man's face...

" M..m...your Majesty".

Avina spoke with a frightened look, leaving the king amused.

" Little one what are you doing alone in the dark, aren't you scared".

" I was going to my room your Majesty I...hmmm

Avina eyes widened as the king sealed her lips, kissing her head leaving her gasping for breath her chest heaving up and down,before his tongue licked her neck.

" You smell nice, little one I want a bite"..

Avina wanted to resort but before she could utter a single one,the king bite into her neck, sucking her blood,her body trembled in pain before she fainted,the king licked his lips as he carried her away,his eyes burning brighter than usual.

" The taste of her blood,it tasted like....."

The king paused in his steps eyes filled with shock and coldness as he stared blankly at the girl in his arms.

" Avina who are you exactly....."...
