Chapter 1 : Reo Hiiragi

Kaminagi-shi

It was getting dark when little Reo was playing in his yard, Reo has been a lonely child since he was little. Although he doesn't have many friends, he doesn't mind, he is always helpful at school and likes to help others - his father in the garden during the coming winter, he chops wood with him.

"Reo, it's getting dark, and dinner is ready, come."

The sun they knew was setting and was replaced by the moon, little Reo's mother turned off the stove. Then she came back to the wooden door, peeked through it and warned her son again.

"Reo it's really late, come on I made your favorite food."

She said while the white haired boy looked at her with a smile, then threw the ball to a nearby tree from which it bounced and ran towards the house, his mother squatted down and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and closed his eyes.

"I'm tired."

Little Reo said sleepily, and even though his mother Satagunu - Hiiragi was worried about him because he wasn't talking to his surroundings, she was reassured by the fact that according to the psychologist, this was normal.

"Sure you are, you've been gardening all day, dad will be here in a moment."

His mother smiled at her son, as she took his hand and began to walk with him into the spacious kitchen. She took a silver pot and placed it on the set table. Her son stood on the stool, turned on the water and began to wash his hands.

"What an obedient boy."

His mother praised him, and loaded him with a bowl of rice with a side dish of beef and vegetables, little Reo with amethyst eyes, ran through the kitchen with a smile to the dining room where he sat down on a chair.

His eyes looked at the food, and his mouth was watering, over the beautiful, lingering aroma that carried throughout the house.

Before the little boy and his mother could take a bite of the meat, a massive figure came towards the dining room, his stern gaze sending chills down both of their spines.

"Satagunu."

Their father said, his expression changing from serious to serious, and walked over to his wife, who stood up and gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead, making the little boy blush.

He waved his hands and grabbed a spoon to put rice in his mouth.

Reo's father was strict, but he loved his wife and his only son. He would have been willing to lay down his life for them if necessary.

"Why couldn't I help you this time?"

The little white-haired boy frowned in annoyance, although in reality he was asking for his father's attention, his father Daiki also kissed him on the cheek, after which he sat down next to his wife.

"Because you wouldn't be able to break such large logs of wood." His father answered, honestly, and took his first bite of rice along with the meat.

Everyone ate quietly and the little boy told his experiences at school, both of his parents listening to him. Reo was a lively boy and a light that could dispel the darkness just by having someone in his life, that's why the family lived in harmony.

At least that was the theory of his mother who loved Reo infinitely.

After dinner, the little boy helped his mother clear the table, while Reo's father helped make the bed in the master bedroom.

"Well, young man, it's time to go to bed, don't forget to change, I'll be fine."

Reo smiled and put his right hand to his head.

"Order."

Reo started running towards the living room where there were stairs leading to the other part of the house where his room was located.

"Don't run up the stairs!"

His mother shouted, but the little boy ignored her and continued running down the hall towards his room. He closed the door behind him, and walked towards the closet which he opened, and reached for the pajamas with the cars.

He threw it on his bed and closed the closet.

After Reo changed and brushed his teeth, he lay in his bed looking at the ceiling. It was difficult for the little boy to fall asleep, every night he replayed his whole day in his head. He came to him anyway because it was no different from the previous ones.

Reo closed his eyes contentedly and started counting sheep one by one in his head until he finally stopped at 56 but, he was too tired to count so he closed his eyes and went to the realm of dreams.

,,Reo understand, mom has to go, she got a great job offer. He will be back this evening."

His father spoke to his son in a calm voice, who refused to understand. He didn't understand why his mother had to go so far, why she couldn't stay with him. Why his father, who was always at work, couldn't go in her place.

"No!" Reo insisted, he didn't want to let his mother go, his eyes welled up at the thought of her leaving. For Reo, it was the end of the world because he didn't want to go anywhere without his mother. He wanted to go with her and he was too young to understand the situation his parents were in.

Who didn't want to burden their son, he would still be too young to truly understand what it means to be in debt, he wouldn't understand. Reo only saw that he wanted to be with his mother no matter what.

How was his mother supposed to explain to him that she wanted to save the place they lived in? And that's why she had to leave, she found a job near the city where they lived and after three days she could ask for a deposit and pay off all the debts.

His parents liked this idea, but Reo felt like she should never come back. He knew there was another way, he couldn't explain it, but his inner voice told him not to let his mother go.

His mother She took her purse and hid her keys in her purse, Reo ran towards the door as he broke away from his father and grabbed her by the sweatpants she was wearing.

"Mom! Don't go anywhere! Don't leave us!"

Reo screamed until he felt a burning sensation in his throat, his eyes filled with tears that fell to the floor. His mother turned to him again and smiled at him. A smile that was a lie to the little boy, because in a moment it could remove all the worries, all the problems and all the sadness that her son felt.

"Reo I'm not leaving forever, it's just... For a few hours, I'll come back in the evening, for now you can help your father, he said he's preparing a surprise for me."

His mother said and stroked the little boy's nose, he laughed. The little boy hugged his mother and kissed her forehead. The boy smiled, and the tears seemed to evaporate, he smiled at the resemblance between him and his mother, not only that the little one had the same amyst eyes, but also a similar nature that made everyone love them.

Evening came and little Reo was in his room concentrating on studying. And on the homework that he had left for later. Because he was too focused on his mother staying home. But despite the fact that he looked at his workbook and read the math question several times, his gaze focused only on the watch that was above the door.

Maybe as a child he overdid it at least that's how it seemed to his father, but he understood that he was a child, and that such behavior was probably normal since he had no friends around.

Reo closed the workbook and stood up, walked out of his room and pointed it at his father who was in the garden chopping wood as usual. "Father, when will mother come?"

Reo asked a direct question to his father, who put down his axe and leaned it against the shed. "Reo your mother works, come at the latest at night do your homework, eat mom cooked in the morning, or go play on the playground, with the boys and come back at the usual time."

His father suggested options that his son could do, and the little boy thought that he could go for a walk on their street.

Reo nodded, and started running towards the house while getting dressed, putting on a yellow-green jacket, taking his shoes and opening the door which he closed behind him.

Little Nero came to the gate and untied the blue bicycle in front of the gate, threw the chain on the ground and opened their orange gate, got on the bike and started riding, pedaling and feeling the breeze on his skin.

He turned the alley, and completely forgot about the hill leading down from their street, lifted the wheels and turned.

Which resulted in Reo falling, the handlebars of the bike became unmanageable for him The wheels were racing at a speed of 1 minute, and Reo tried to brake, all he could do was turn to the side and take the pressure of the wind, in which his white hair was blowing before he collapsed to the ground and he flew onto the grass over the handlebars.

The little boy's mother sighed after all the tiring days she had spent at her new job, she was leaving the big factory and before leaving she took her purse and checked all her things.

She knew very well that if she stayed at home, she would never be able to earn that much money for her family, and they would still be in debt. She knew it, she couldn't explain it, but the possibility of failure and the image of her son whining for food.. she couldn't handle it.

She said goodbye to her colleagues, and waited for a taxi in front of the factory, which should arrive any minute. Satagunu looked at the clock, while looking ahead, it seemed that despite the weather today, rain was pouring down on the city as fog appeared in the place.

The woman was starting to get cold, and before she could get back inside, a yellow car stopped across the street, and she crossed the road towards it, got in, said her address, reached over her shoulder and grabbed her belt, which she snapped, and the car started moving.

The woman was so tired, she wasn't used to working in a factory, because the terraces were either markets or selling ice cream, which didn't make much money, but she didn't have to, because her husband's work was enough to cover all the bills in the city they lived in before.

So working in a factory was exhausting for her, but the vision of money was too strong, she saw it so clearly. And she would have almost fallen asleep if the driver hadn't braked and she hadn't jerked, and the car threw her forward, but her belt pulled her back.

"Madam, there's a line because of the heavy rain."

"Oh seriously?"

Satagunu looked out the window and didn't even realize it had started to rain, she looked at the driver and suggested.

"Can't we take another route?"

She asked the driver was silent for a moment as if thinking before finally speaking.

"Yes, but it will take longer."

"Which means I'll get home later, Reo will be scared."

The woman thought before a quiet "oh" came out of her.

The woman looked ahead and decided because it took her a while.

"Let's take the longer route, at least we won't get stuck."

The man nodded and started backing up, and on the display he set a different direction for them to go.

The woman finally fell asleep but was woken up again by the sudden braking, this time she gave the man an angry look but the man was shaking with fear.

"What's going on?"

She looked at the man who honked his horn in front of her, the frightened lights shone on the road ahead, but the heavy rain prevented a clear view.

"That... The man is just standing there and doesn't want to move!"

"A man?"

The woman looked more carefully and finally she really saw the man, black long sweatpants, a white coat that was recognizable even at night, because of the moon that shone brightly even through the rain.

His face, however, was not visible as he was in the shadows and several kilometers away, and the car's light only shone on his bright clothes.

"Idiot... Idiot, this is the perfect space for destruction."

The person's hand reached out, and due to the veins on the person's hands, it was possible to determine that it was a man.

The car began to levitate, several meters into the air, which scared both people, the driver wanted to get out immediately. The woman started to have tears in her eyes, but before she could say or do anything, the car overturned. And she hit her head on the seat. As if time had stopped, she could only hold on to a bush, and the only thing she could think about was her son.

Her husband, and their faces that she could already see clearly, right in front of her. Before there was a huge explosion. The car exploded because it was thrown against the stones that were on the right side of the road.

,, Sorry Reo Hiiragi, let your father take care of you."

It ran through her mind as the last thing, and on her face appeared the last tear that escaped from her ameyst eyes before the woman was completely consumed by flames.

.

.

,,Father!" The boy finally got home despite the thick and heavy rain, where he saw his father in tears.
