Chapter 1 : The start of everything

It was a great and sunny morning. I woke up and looked forward to the new year of my high school. After the long winter holidays, I am finally gonna meet my friends.

My grandfather was really strict. He never let me play with my friends from the neighbourhood. He said, "Why would you waste your precious time around them? Isn't it better when you are with me and your sister, playing and studying together?"

Well, in a sense, it was good. He was really good to me. I grew up with him pampering me, fulfilling my every demands. And of course all the demands are related to studying.

But sometimes, I wanted to hang out with my friends, play pranks, eat super spicy food, watch something funny and laugh non-stop. It became my dream.

So with all these thoughts, I came out of my room and greeted my grandfather and sister, sitting in the courtyard, "Good morning, grandfather" and to my sister Tina, teasingly, "You got bed hair." Tina cares about her appearance a lot, at once, she ran in to look to the mirror and shouted back," Hey, come here, I promise I won't hit you". It was because she forgot she took a bath, and she got no bed hair.

Grandfather and I laughed and ate breakfast. She came out and joined us. Meanwhile, dad came and joined us, he is also going to office early today, he has been going early for a lot of days now. Mom looks like they quarrelled again but said nothing. We pretended we knew nothing.

Then after breakfast, Tina and I got ready for school and grandfather took us to school. I was excited and told him to take us early. He agreed. Tina too looks eager to meet her friends and new ones.

As soon as I passed the school gates, my friend, Alisa came rushing to me, and said "Did you meet him? Did you see him? I heard he came to live in our school hostel. All the teachers said, he is smart and good-looking. Did you not see him before school start? Did you? Did you not?"

Alisa is a very quiet friend, normally but when she gets excited, she can't stop talking. She fired me a series of questions as soon as she saw me without giving me a chance to even greet her. Typical Alisa.

I stared at her wide eyed. "Alisa, Alisa, Alisa, Calm down. Breathe. I'm not going anywhere. We have all day."

At last she calmed down and but still asked, "Did you meet him?"

I said,"No. I didn't even get to see you during the whole winter holidays. How could I see him?", then asked her," Did you?"

She replied," No. I didn't but I heard many stories about him. And I can't wait to tell you."

I smiled and said,"Lets go to class and you can tell me all about it."
