Our Last Sunset
she was sitting alone on the grassy hill behind our school.
The wind was gently moving her long hair while she looked up at the sky like she was waiting for something. Most students didn’t go there after class. It was quiet and a little far from the buildings.
But she looked like she belonged there.
Curious, I slowly walked closer.
“Why are you sitting here alone?” I asked.
She turned to look at me, surprised. For a moment she didn’t say anything. Then she smiled softly.
“I like watching the sky,” she said. “Every sunset looks different.”
I sat down beside her without thinking.
The sky was slowly turning orange and pink, and the clouds looked like they were glowing.
“You come here every day?” I asked.
She nodded. “Almost every day.”
For some reason, talking to her felt easy, even though we had just met.
“My name is Ren,” I said.
She looked at the sky again before answering.
“I’m Hana.”
That was the beginning.
At that moment, I didn’t know that the girl sitting beside me… would change my life forever.
As the days went by, I found myself thinking about Hana more than I wanted to admit. I thought about the way she smiled when she saw a cloud shaped like something silly, or how she hummed quietly when the wind blew through the trees. I didn’t know it then, but that small hill and that quiet sunset would become the most important place in my life.
Sometimes we talked. Sometimes we didn’t. I learned that she liked little things—the sound of the wind in the grass, the colors of the sunset, and the way the world seemed softer in quiet moments. I realized that she noticed things most people didn’t.
For some reason, sitting beside her felt easy. I didn’t have to pretend or try to be funny. I just was myself, and it felt like she liked that. Even though I didn’t know her very well yet, I already felt a little happier just being there.
As the last rays of the sun disappeared behind the trees, I felt something strange in my chest. It was like a small, quiet spark. I didn’t know what it was yet. But I knew I wanted to see her smile again tomorrow, and the day after that, and every day if I could.
I always saw her sitting there every after class, I was wondering if why is she always there , I asked her why are you always here?
she smiled at me and said " I don't know I just want to looked at the sky " The wind moved her hair gently again, and for a moment, everything felt peaceful, like the world was holding its breath just for us.The soft light of the sunset painted the hill in gold and pink, and I silently hoped that I would always have moments like this.
