The Mystery of Eve
A girl with the brightest smile ever—at age 7, she was thinking about how lovely she would be when she grew up. But fate betrayed her.
She was just 10 years old when she realized how ugly she felt. A time came when people pointed at her; that was the time she felt her heart grow heavy.
She looked at the mirror and, for the first time, forced a smile onto her face. At that moment, she realized she was fat and her skin color was not "good" at all. She felt so much stress that, at just age 10 and also her mother left her alone, she started scratching her face and body until the marks turned red.
The smile started fading slowly. She realized she was a burden to all the people around her. She wondered why she was like this, why everyone hated her, and why no one understood her.
By the age of 14, she wanted to die, asking God why she was even alive. Every night, she felt like she wanted to end it all. She was suffering from bullying, and even the people in her own home ignored her.
She wanted to escape from that reality, but life did not want that for her. She began to want to become a monster, or a demon, or anything related to evilness.
And one day just like any other. She was sitting in the back of the classroom, her eyes fixed on the window, feeling the familiar weight of being ignored. Suddenly, the door burst open. The class teacher stumbled in, her face pale and her voice cracking as she screamed, "Vampires! They’ve attacked the city! They’re everywhere!"
Panic exploded. Students scrambled over desks, crying and shouting, but she stayed exactly where she was. Her face held zero emotion. While the world around her ended in a chorus of screams, she felt a strange, hollow peace. She didn't have the fear of death; she had lived with it for so long that it felt like an old friend.
Then, he walked in.
He was a pure-blood vampire, with hair as black as the midnight sky and eyes that glowed a terrifying crimson red. He walked through the chaos with a calm, predatory grace. He stopped right in front of her desk, looking down at her plain, unbothered expression.
"You are somewhat unique," he whispered, his voice sending a chill through the room. "Tell me... do you even know who I am?"
She didn't pull away. Instead, she let out a small, haunting smile.
Behind the black-haired man, his followers began to attack the classroom. In the middle of the violence, the windows shattered. A second man leaped through the glass—his hair was snow-white, and his eyes were a piercing, electric blue. Without a word, the white-haired man charged, his hand reaching out to strike the vampire in front of her.
Suddenly, a heat surged through her veins.
Before the white-haired man could land a blow, a blast of pink magical rays erupted from her palm. The force was so strong it threw the attacker backward, slamming him into the wall. The room went dead silent. Everyone—including her—stared at her glowing hand in total shock.
Seizing the moment, the white-haired man scrambled to his feet and vanished back through the broken window.
The black-haired vampire didn't chase him. Instead, he threw his head back and laughed, a loud, triumphant sound that echoed off the blood-stained walls. He looked at her with a look of pure obsession.
"I found you," he said, his red eyes burning
