Monsters Without a Queen

Three months had passed since the night the underworld lost its queen.

But time had not healed anything.

It had only made the kings colder.

The empire ruled by had become darker than ever. Fear spread across the underworld like wildfire. No one dared challenge the six kings anymore.

Because the kings no longer showed mercy.

The large meeting hall of the empire was silent except for the slow echo of footsteps.

Namjoon stood at the head of the long black table, his expression unreadable.

Jin leaned back in his chair, his face calm but his eyes completely empty.

Yoongi sat quietly beside him, lazily spinning a knife between his fingers.

Jimin rested his chin on his hand, his gaze cold and distant.

Hoseok stood near the window, staring outside like the world meant nothing to him.

And Jungkook…

Jungkook was the most dangerous of them all now.

A man was dragged into the room by guards.

He was shaking violently.

“P-please… forgive me…”

He had betrayed their empire.

Once, the queen would have stopped this.

Once, would have smiled gently and convinced the kings to spare him.

But that queen was gone.

Namjoon spoke first.

“Do you know what happens to traitors?”

The man fell to his knees.

“I made a mistake!”

Yoongi chuckled softly.

“Mistakes cost lives.”

Jungkook slowly stood up.

His eyes were darker than anyone had ever seen before.

Without a word, he pulled out his gun.

The man screamed.

“Please! I have children!”

For a brief second…

Silence filled the room.

If Tae were here…

He would have stepped between them.

He would have said:

“Everyone deserves a second chance.”

But Tae was not here.

BANG.

The gunshot echoed through the room.

The man's body fell lifeless onto the floor.

No one reacted.

Not even slightly.

Jimin sighed quietly.

“Clean this up.”

The guards quickly dragged the body away.

The kings returned to their seats like nothing had happened.

Hoseok finally turned away from the window.

“The enemy groups are getting nervous.”

Namjoon nodded slowly.

“They should be.”

Jin added coldly,

“We warned them.”

Yoongi placed the knife on the table.

“If they want war… we'll give them war.”

Jungkook remained standing.

His gaze slowly moved toward the empty throne at the end of the hall.

The queen’s throne.

It had not been touched since the night Tae died.

No one dared sit there.

No one even looked at it for too long.

Because the moment they did…

Memories came back.

The laughter.

The teasing.

The warmth.

Jungkook clenched his fist.

“Meeting is over.”

The kings stood up silently.

One by one they walked out of the hall.

But Jungkook stayed behind.

He slowly walked toward the throne.

His fingers brushed against the armrest where Tae used to sit.

For the first time since that night…

Something broke inside him.

His voice was barely a whisper.

“Come back… baby…”

But the throne remained empty.

And the kings of continued ruling the underworld like monsters.

Because without their queen…

Mercy no longer existed....
