Episode 5: Mr. Perfect

Akira was lost in her sketchbook, the morning chaos of the hallway blurring around her,when the announcement came "Shin Ichimura,transfer student from Tokyo, Please report to the principal office."

Whisper rippled through the crowd like a wave. Akira's gaze drifted up, curious as a sea of students parted.A guy walked through,his crisp uniform and torso-bar charm turning heads. Glasses perched on his nose,he looked like the epitome of cool and smart.

He scanned the hallway,locking eyes with Akira for a fleeting second. Her heart skipped a weird beat. Not because he was hot but because he looked different. Approachable. Like he didn't belong in this schools mess.

The crowd closed in, buzzing."Whoa,he's fine!" "Did you see his glasses? Top of Tokyo High!" Kana was practically drooling.

Akira blink a few times, diving back into her art. "Who care about some perfect transfer guy?" She said to her self.

The new student found the principal's office, got his schedule, and headed to his first class. Class 1-A. As he opened the door, thirty pairs of eyes landed on him including Akira's.

The adviser smiled and let him introduce his self. "Everyone this is our new transfered student, introduce your self."

He smiled, easy. "Hey, I'm Shin Ichimura ,I'm from Tokyo, sixteen years old."

Silence. Then Kana giggled "welcome to our school Shin-kun"

Akira looked away,focusing on her sketch book,Opposite of her,indeed.

Kana,front row,practically bounced. "Shin-kun,come sit next to me!"

Shin hesitated for a split second before heading to Kana's side. The class giggled,and Akira's pencil slipped scratching a dark line across her page.

Mis. Tanaka started lecturing on quadratic equation Akira tuned out,lost in her art. Shin glanced back once catching her eye-A flicker of something Not curiosity.Pity?

Akira's face burned she scribbled harder ink bleeding into the paper.

Break time Kana dragged Shin out to show him around. The class emptied leaving Akira to her sketches she gathered her stuff,slipping out unnoticed.the hallway was chaos. Akira dodged students,heading for the art room solace.

But Shin was there,leaning against the doorframe chatting with Mei,their senior from Class 5-C. Akira's step faltered. Mei waved."Hey,Akira"

Akira looked away."Why did he need to be perfect?"

The bell rang,loud and mocking. Akira signed,joining the crowd back to class.

Akira slipped back into the class,head down,trying to vanish into her seat.Shin was laughing with Kana,his smile dazzling she slid into her chair,sketchbook open,pencil moving slightly.

Mrs Tanaka paired them up for a project."Akira,you're with Shin"

Akira's heart sank she didn't look up.

Kana glared at her,despising her,hating her,everything Kana stand up and stamp her hand at the desk."sensei why those two are paired,that art geek are not fit for a high student!"

Mis. Tanaka hold her glasses up to her eye."low your voice Kana,and go paired to Kiro"

Kana pout and look away.Akira look down to her desk,trying to calm down her self.

Shin walked towards her,polite as ever."Hey,Akira."

Akira mumbled something,eyes on her desk.Her pencil trembled.

"Akira?" Shin said,tilting his head."Are you okay?"

Akira nodded,not looking up at him,she just look down at her desk.

Shin smiled politely."let's make our plan to the library at lunch break,okay?"

Akira nodded,still not looking up.
