My Tae Tae

My Tae Tae

Taehyung and the Rain That Followed Him

---

Everyone knew Kim Taehyung as someone unpredictable.

One moment he was laughing like the happiest person alive, the next he’d be staring quietly at something no one else could see. The members of BTS were used to it by now—his strange habits, his deep thoughts, and his random bursts of affection.

But there was one thing about Taehyung that no one could quite explain.

Rain followed him.

Not always. Not everywhere. But on certain days—especially when he felt a little too quiet, a little too distant—the sky would cloud over no matter how bright the morning had been.

It started small.

A drizzle here and there.

Then it became something the members noticed.

“Hyung,” Jungkook once said, peeking out the window, “it was sunny five minutes ago.”

Taehyung just hummed, sitting cross-legged on the couch, gently playing with a loose thread on his sleeve.

“I think the sky just likes me,” he replied casually.

Jimin squinted at him. “That’s not how weather works.”

Taehyung smiled… but didn’t argue.

Because even he didn’t fully understand it.

---

One evening, after a long day of practice, the members were exhausted. Everyone collapsed into their usual spots—some on the couch, some on the floor, some half-asleep already.

Taehyung sat near the window.

Quiet again.

Outside, the sky slowly turned grey.

Then—soft rain.

Tap… tap… tap…

Yoongi glanced up. “Again?”

Namjoon sighed. “Taehyung-ah…”

But Taehyung didn’t respond.

He was watching the raindrops like they were telling him a story.

Jin noticed something then.

He walked over and sat beside him. “What’s going on in that head of yours?”

Taehyung blinked, as if snapping back. “…Nothing.”

Jin raised an eyebrow. “You’re the worst liar in this house.”

A small pause.

Then Taehyung spoke, voice softer than usual—

“Do you ever feel like… you miss something, but you don’t know what it is?”

The room went quiet.

Even the rain seemed to soften.

Jin didn’t joke this time.

“…Yeah,” he said gently.

Taehyung smiled faintly, but his eyes stayed distant.

“I think the sky feels that too.”

---

The next day, the rain didn’t stop.

Schedules got delayed. Stylists complained. The manager kept checking the weather app in confusion.

“Clear skies,” he muttered. “It says clear skies!”

But above their building—

Only clouds.

And soft, endless rain.

---

That night, the members gathered in the living room again.

This time, no one ignored it.

Jimin plopped down next to Taehyung and nudged him. “Okay, enough mystery. You’re definitely doing something.”

“I’m not,” Taehyung said, but he was smiling a little.

Hoseok leaned forward. “Then why does it rain every time you go quiet like this?”

Taehyung tilted his head, thinking.

“…Maybe I’m just leaking feelings.”

Silence.

Then—

“YA!” Jungkook laughed. “That’s not even a real explanation!”

But somehow… it felt like one.

---

Jin stood up suddenly.

“Come on.”

“Where?” Taehyung asked.

“Outside.”

“Hyung, it’s raining—”

“I know.”

---

Before Taehyung could protest, Jin grabbed his hand and pulled him out. The others followed, curious and slightly concerned.

They stepped into the rain together.

Cool droplets landed on their hair, their clothes, their faces.

Taehyung froze for a moment.

“…Hyung.”

Jin looked at him, completely unbothered by the rain. “If it’s your rain, then it’s not something to hide from.”

Namjoon nodded. “Yeah. We’ll just stand in it with you.”

Hoseok spun once dramatically. “Free shower!”

Jungkook laughed and splashed water toward Jimin, who immediately chased him.

Chaos.

Warm, loud, familiar chaos.

Taehyung watched them.

Really watched them.

And something inside his chest softened.

“…You guys are weird,” he mumbled.

Jin smirked. “Says you.”

---

Slowly, Taehyung stepped forward.

The rain touched his face.

But this time—

It didn’t feel heavy.

It felt… light.

He closed his eyes for a second, then let out a quiet laugh.

Not loud.

Not dramatic.

Just soft.

Real.

And as if the sky had been waiting for that—

The rain began to slow.

Drop by drop.

Until it stopped completely.

The clouds parted.

And the faintest hint of stars peeked through.

Jungkook blinked. “Wait… did we just fix the weather?”

Namjoon smiled. “No.”

He glanced at Taehyung.

“I think we just fixed him.”

---

Taehyung looked up at the sky, then at his members.

His people.

The strange, loud, comforting home he didn’t even realize he needed in that moment.

“…Thank you,” he said quietly.

Jimin grinned. “For what?”

Taehyung smiled, eyes warm now.

“For staying… even when it rains.”

---

And after that—

The rain still followed him sometimes.

But it didn’t feel lonely anymore.

Because now—

It wasn’t just his.

It was theirs.

The end.... 😌
