SUPERPOWER – SEASON 5

PART 1: THE FIRST AGE OF POWER

Written by Kingson Das

1000 Years Ago…

Before the cities.

Before the chaos.

Before the world learned to fear power.

There was a time when power was… normal.

The sky was brighter then.

Not because of the sun—

But because energy flowed freely through the world like air.

Mountains hummed with life.

Rivers glowed faintly at night.

And people…

People were born different.

Some could control fire.

Some could heal wounds with a touch.

Some could slow time for a few seconds.

And some…

Could control things no one fully understood.

This era was known as:

The First Age of Power

In a vast kingdom surrounded by floating cliffs and endless forests…

Lived a young warrior.

- ERYNDOR

He stood at the edge of a high cliff, wind rushing past him.

Lightning danced softly around his fingers.

Not wild.

Not destructive.

Controlled.

Calm.

Behind him, a voice called out:

“Still talking to the sky?”

He didn’t turn.

“I’m listening,” he replied.

Footsteps approached.

Soft. Light.

🌿 NYRA

She stepped beside him, her presence warm and peaceful.

Where she walked, small plants seemed to grow stronger.

Life itself responded to her.

“You think it answers?” she asked.

Eryndor smiled faintly.

“Not yet.”

Nyra laughed softly.

“You’re strange.”

“And you talk too much,” he replied.

She nudged him slightly.

“Someone has to.”

They stood there in silence.

But it wasn’t empty.

It was… understood.

Nyra looked at him.

“You’re worried again.”

Eryndor didn’t deny it.

“The balance is changing.”

She frowned. “You always say that.”

“And I’m always right.”

Far in the distance…

A storm gathered.

But it wasn’t natural.

The clouds moved… unnaturally slow.

Nyra followed his gaze.

“For once,” she said quietly, “I hope you’re wrong.”

- THE OTHERS

Not far from them—

A training ground echoed with power.

A man slammed his fist into the ground.

🔥 Fire exploded outward.

- KAEL

“Again!” he shouted.

Sweat, anger, determination.

He wasn’t calm like Eryndor.

He was a weapon.

Across from him—

A woman watched silently.

The shadows around her shifted slightly… even without movement.

- VEYRA

“You rely too much on force,” she said.

Kael smirked.

“And you rely too much on hiding.”

She didn’t react.

“Darkness doesn’t hide,” she replied.

“It waits.”

⏳ CHRONIS

From the side, an older man spoke.

“Both of you are wrong.”

They turned.

Chronis stood with a staff, eyes distant.

“I’ve seen what happens when power is used without understanding.”

Kael crossed his arms.

“And what happens?”

Chronis looked at the sky.

“Everything ends.”

Silence.

That night…

The five of them stood together.

Eryndor.

Nyra.

Kael.

Veyra.

Chronis.

The wind felt different.

Heavy.

Chronis spoke first.

“The future is changing.”

Kael rolled his eyes.

“It always is.”

Chronis shook his head.

“No… this time it’s collapsing.”

Nyra stepped forward.

“What did you see?”

Chronis hesitated.

Then said:

“Darkness… not like Veyra’s.”

Veyra’s eyes narrowed.

“Something deeper,” Chronis continued.

“Something that doesn’t belong to this world.”

Eryndor clenched his fist slightly.

“Where?”

Chronis pointed toward the distant mountains.

Far away…

Beyond kingdoms.

Beyond peace.

A man stood alone.

Watching the world below.

His eyes were calm.

Too calm.

— AETHELON

He raised his hand slowly.

Energy gathered.

Not fire.

Not lightning.

Not darkness.

Something else.

Pure.

Raw.

Unstable.

Below him—

An entire forest…

Collapsed into silence.

No fire.

No destruction.

Just…

Gone.

Aethelon whispered:

“Power without control…”

He closed his fist.

“…is a mistake.”

His eyes darkened slightly.

“Let me fix it.”

A sudden shockwave hit the land.

Eryndor’s eyes widened.

“You felt that?”

Veyra nodded.

“That’s not natural.”

Kael grinned slightly.

“Finally… something interesting.”

Nyra didn’t smile.

“That felt wrong.”

Chronis whispered:

“It begins…”

Eryndor stepped forward.

“Then we stop it.”

But deep inside…

Even he felt it.

This wasn’t just another threat.

This was something…

That could change everything.

Far away—

Aethelon stood in the darkness.

Behind him…

Energy swirled like a forming storm.

Not one power.

Not two.

But many.

He smiled faintly.

“The world had its chance…”

His voice dropped.

Cold.

“Now it’s my turn.”

Back with Eryndor—

Lightning sparked stronger than before.

Unstable.

Nyra looked at him.

“What’s happening?”

Eryndor stared at his hand.

For the first time…

His power didn’t feel like his own.

“It’s reacting…”

he whispered.

“To him.”
