It was the boy from the airplane that sat beside me. Omg, get the fuck out of my face. Batiag nawong nmo boi yawa

I forcefully smiled and didn't say anything.

So he's the class president hm? Weird ass.

I looked around the classroom and asked him,

"Are you new here? By the way, san yung desk ko? Is there any available chairs?”

( Translation: Where’s my desk? )

He replied shortly after, his voice just annoys me but I have no other choice. Ugh, this bitch.

"Nope, I just had a vacation and you can sit next to me. ^^"

He just said that so casually like he was used to it. Goddamn I just can't lie he is kinda..? Handsome I gotta admit.

I sat down next to him at the third row.

It was hella awkward as other "classmates" went inside and just stared at me then answered their unfinished homeworks and constant shouting.

No one really caught my eye except this also handsome boy sitting beside a cramming student. He was looking at me. OMG ANO TO WHATTTTT HE WAS LOOKING AT ME THEN WALKED TOWARDS ME. OMG OMG WHAT DO I DO WHAT DO I SAY.

he leaned in closer to me..

"So, you must be Leiya? Our new classmate?"

He asked, his voice kinda.. RAWRRR ARGG ARF ARF he leaned so close to me I could smell his cologne.

But I knew to stay away from him cause he looked like a guy who'd cut classes and play call of duty all day kinda-guy.

I replied,

"Yes, and you must be..?"

He smiled and said,

"I'm David, some call me Dave, you can call me Babe"

Okay, time out. That was cringe. Immediate red flag. STOP OMG

When I was about to say something, the ol' president guy barged in and he said,

"Dave, stop pestering her and go finish your assignment. You're so cringe I just wanna choke you"

Dave chuckled and said,

"You're so handsome I could kiss you Gio."

I snickered and laughed at the back. Is this what they call “Yaoi?”

The class president's name must be Gio then. And the shitty gangster guy was David. Cool names, wasn't the old names.

David laughed as he went back to his seat at the back row and Gio sat down beside me.

"Sorry for the uhh.. weird introduction from my cousin. He's kinda odd."

He smiled and tilted his head as he spoke.

Which kinda makes him cuter.

I shortly responded,

"It's oka-"

The stupid bell rang. It was time for the national anthem. They all went outside the classroom and stood out the hallway, their right hands on their left chest, their free hand at the back. I joined the line and did the same.

After that the bell rang again and our teacher came in.

We all stood up and did the magalang bow as we greeted the teacher with a synchronized voice.

"Good morning ma'am Belandres."

Oh hey, it was the teacher who assigned me and Zar's classroom. She’s my advisor ^^

She then said with a calm and soothing voice.

"Good morning, please take your seats.

Now, please get your homeworks from last week and let the new student introduce herself! She’s practically the new one here so you all should be kind. No bullying like last time Wilma."

Wilma? Who’s-

Mrs. Belandres stared at me and so did the others.

I glanced at the back and saw a girl with long curly hair that had skin like porcelain. Probably she was Wilma.

I looked back again at my teacher.

I then stood up and went up front. THIS WAS FUCKING EMBARRASSING.

I scanned the whole classroom and the other girls were snickering along with that Wilma. Ugh.

I noticed David giving me a reassuring look and smiled. As well as Gio. DAMN. I LOVE'EM.

I then spoke up and introduced myself. HUHAY ANG BUHAY.

"Good morning, I'm Leiya Beatrice T. Lopez, I am originally from Cebu in Dalaguete Province if you heard about it. I'm probably the same age as you guys, and I hope we would get to know each other better."

I smiled before the other just clapped and I sat down.

Gio stared at me with those eyes before going back to the teacher.

GOD SNAP OUT OF IT LEI.

TIME SKIP

it was recess and almost everyone actually enjoyed my presence, but some didn't.

When I was about to go to the cafeteria/canteen, someone put their hand on my shoulder—it was Gio.

"Leiya, I suppose you don't know the way to the canteen, samahan nalang kita, let's go together. We just have 15 minutes"

( Translation:

Samahan nalang kita \= I’ll accompany you )

I nodded and we went down the stairs and to the canteen.

He bought chocolate waffles and I bought sweetened corn and kalamansi juice then we went to a small bench with some shade beside a big tree.

It was nice until David came along -_-

"You two enjoying without me? that's selfish"

Gio scoffed before replying,

"Get a life lil cousin, at least we got perfect scores earlier and Leiya doesn't even need tutoring."

I somehow blushed at that, was that a compliment that I was smarter than David? hehe

David rolled his eyes and ate his snacks and squeezed in between me and Gio on the bench.

Gio stood up and excused himself to buy water.

Then, all of a sudden David just looked at me and offered his uneaten sandwich without a word, he probably wants me to have a bite.

I DONT KNOW DOES HE???

I took a small amount from my hand and smiled, he smiled back. As if he wasn't being cocky earlier this morning. It was kind of like, the sweet side of him showing up perhaps?

"Thank you?" I said faintly, my voice above a whisper.

Damn, this school is different.

Sooner or later, Gio called us to go back to the classroom. The three of us walked together, our stomachs full and a good timing, the bell rang and the next subject was about to start as soon as we got to the classroom.
