A Kiss from Hell

A Kiss from Hell

Chapter One

EARTH 🌍

Olivia Presley stepped through the towering gates of Oakville High, her black boots tapping softly against the pavement. Her fingers tightened around the straps of her beige bag as she inhaled deeply, steadying herself.

The school loomed ahead—old, grand, and strangely enchanting. Vines curled along its walls like they were guarding secrets no one dared to uncover.

The hallway buzzed with life.

Lockers slammed shut. Laughter echoed. Conversations overlapped into a chaotic hum. Basketball players towered confidently in their letterman jackets, while cheerleaders stood in clusters, their giggles sharp and rehearsed.

Yet beneath it all, something felt… off.

Even the faded “No Food Allowed” sign seemed to pulse with an eerie energy, like it was watching.

Olivia swallowed.

But she could handle it.

She had to.

The first bell rang.

Students shuffled hurriedly to class, stuffing books into bags and brushing past one another. Olivia forced her feet forward, each step heavier than the last, until she reached her first class:

Chemistry.

She paused at the door.

Her palms grew damp. Her chest tightened. The noise around her seemed to fade into a dull blur as anxiety crept in.

Before she could gather herself—

“Don’t just stand there, idiot.”

A girl brushed past her harshly, her voice dripping with annoyance.

Olivia stumbled slightly, her heart jumping. She could feel eyes on her—judging, analyzing, burning into her skin.

She exhaled shakily.

Don’t worry, Olivia. You can do this.

Pushing the door open, she stepped inside.

The room fell silent.

Every head turned.

The weight of their stares hit harder than anything she expected.

“Oh! You must be the new student,” Miss Bell said with a warm smile.

Olivia nodded, her throat too tight for words.

“Would you like to introduce yourself?”

She shook her head quickly.

“That’s alright,” the teacher said gently. “You can take a seat.”

Olivia moved, her legs stiff under the pressure of everyone watching. She slid onto the nearest stool, keeping her gaze low.

“You don’t have to look so scared.”

The voice was soft.

Olivia looked up into a pair of warm hazel eyes.

The girl beside her smiled.

“I’m Ava Addams.”

Olivia hesitated for a second before replying quietly, “Olivia Presley.”

“I know it’s hard,” Ava said gently. “But you’ll need to open up a little if you want to survive here.”

Olivia raised an eyebrow slightly.

“Thanks,” she said, managing a small smile.

For the first time that day, the tight knot in her chest loosened—just a little.

The rest of Chemistry passed without incident.

But the moment the bell rang, chaos returned.

Students rushed out, filling the halls once again. Olivia grabbed her bag and followed Ava outside.

That’s when she felt it.

The stares.

The whispers.

The quiet snickers.

Her fingers clenched the hem of her shirt.

“Don’t think too much about it,” Ava said, nudging her lightly. “People here stare at everything. It doesn’t mean they hate you.”

Olivia nodded, though her chest still felt tight.

I can survive this.

By the time they reached Math class, her anxiety had returned full force.

They stopped at the door.

Olivia’s breathing quickened.

“Hey,” Ava said softly. “Breathe. You’ve got this.”

Olivia inhaled slowly… then exhaled.

Again.

Her heartbeat began to steady.

“See?” Ava smiled. “You’ll be fine.”

Together, they walked into the classroom.

Once again, silence followed.

But this time—

Olivia didn’t freeze.

She walked to her seat and sat down beside Ava, ignoring the curious glances.

And just like that…

She made it through her first day at Oakville High.

HELL 🔥

Darkness stretched endlessly.

Flames flickered along towering pillars as shadows danced across the vast throne room.

William Parker walked forward, his black royal robe trailing behind him. His expression was unreadable—cold, sharp, untouchable.

“Father. You called?”

On the throne sat the King of Hell himself.

Satan.

Calm. Composed. Powerful.

“Yes,” he said, his voice deep and steady. “This matter is urgent.”

William sighed, clearly unimpressed.

“What is it this time?”

“There are rogue demons on Earth,” Satan continued. “They’ve begun causing chaos. Disruption. I want you to go there, find them… and end it.”

William rolled his eyes.

“Seriously? I’ve never even been to Earth, and now you’re sending me to clean up a mess?”

“Take Lucas with you,” Satan added, ignoring the complaint.

William exhaled sharply.

“When do I leave?”

“Now.”

Silence lingered for a moment.

Then—

“Fine,” William muttered. “Your Highness.”

With a flick of his fingers—

He vanished.

The air shifted.

Dark energy rippled.

William reappeared beside Lucas, his expression irritated.

“Unbelievable,” he muttered. “Always sending me on errands.”

Lucas smirked slightly but said nothing.

William glanced ahead, eyes darkening.

“Earth, huh…” he murmured.

A faint, dangerous smile tugged at his lips.

“Let’s see what makes it worth all this trouble.”
