Sophia looked at the book again. It felt strange, like it was important.
“Maybe this has something…” she said softly.
She opened it.
The pages were old, and the writing looked weird, almost like another language—but somehow, she could understand parts of it.
“How am I reading this?” she whispered.
She turned the pages and saw drawings.
Tiny creatures with pointy ears.
Her heart skipped.
“It’s them…”
Then she saw something else.
A sword.
A jewel sword.
With sapphires, rubies, and gold charms.
Just like the one in the picture of her dad.
“No way…” she said.
Her hands shook as she read more. The book talked about magic, protectors, and a hidden world.
This wasn’t normal.
Then—
*Knock…*
Sophia froze.
The sound was quieter this time.
She slowly looked at the door.
“It’s back…” she whispered.
