Y/N’s POV:
Today was already starting on a wild note.
I was late.
Of course I was late.
Why? Because the streets were insane—people, cars, chaos—and I swear, the universe had decided I needed extra adrenaline before my first-ever dream interview.
I was sprinting, heels clacking, rain drenching me like I had just stepped out of a dramatic movie scene.
“Okay, Y/N… just survive this, and maybe HR won’t notice you’re late,” I muttered, trying to convince myself that sneaking in through the back entrance was a genius idea.
I rounded a corner, completely focused on reaching the building without tripping when—
BAM.
I collided with someone.
Hard.
“Ahhh!” I shrieked, stumbling back, ready to launch into a full complaint about this absolute jerk.
But then I looked up.
Unexpected eye contact.
And froze.
Two men.
Two… dangerously handsome men.
One leaned casually against the wall, a cigarette in hand, his sharp eyes piercing through the rain-soaked air. His presence was… undeniably powerful.
The other was equally stunning, but with a smile that suggested he knew exactly how dangerous he could be. He was quietly laughing, his gaze fixed on me.
My brain screamed: Run.
My mouth screamed: Scream.
And instead, I said—
“You have no manners! Smoking inside a company? Seriously?!”
The taller one—oh God, the taller one—his eyes snapped to me.
Frustration. Command. Mystery.
He didn’t move, but his gaze… it made me shiver.
“I… I’ll report you to the police if you don’t stop!” I added, trying to regain control, puffing my chest slightly.
Then I said,
“Do you even know that I’m the new manager?”
The second man smirked, clearly amused, though he tried to hide it.
The first man finally spoke, his voice calm but sharp—
“Oh? The new manager?”
I stepped back, matching his intensity.
“I’m not some random worker like you,” I snapped.
“I hold a managerial position here, so you better watch your manners.”
I flipped my hair back dramatically, letting confidence crash into him like a storm.
The rain drenched me, but I didn’t care—
I was too busy radiating I’m-not-afraid-of-you energy.
Then I glanced at my watch.
And froze.
I was still late.
“Ugh! Because of you stupid people, I’m late!” I muttered, storming past them toward the office doors.
The taller one’s eyes lingered on me for a moment longer than necessary.
And I knew—just knew—
This wasn’t going to be just another interview.
This was dangerous.
Exciting.
Absolutely unforgettable.
🍃{After Y/N Runs Inside}🍃
Yoongi couldn’t help it.
He laughed.
Quietly at first, the sound echoing softly through the back area.
“She called you… stupid,” Yoongi said, shaking his head, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“And threatened to report you to the police… because of a cigarette. And then—she said she’s a manager.”
He laughed again, low and dangerous.
Jungkook’s eyes narrowed.
No one laughed at him.
Especially not like this.
He pulled out his phone and dialed quickly.
“This is Jungkook,” he said calmly, though there was a clear edge in his tone.
“I’ll be present during the interview myself.”
He hung up without waiting for a response.
Then he turned slowly, his gaze sliding toward Yoongi.
“I want to see this so-called ‘manager’ myself,” Jungkook said.
“The one bold enough to call me stupid without even knowing who I am.”
Yoongi raised an eyebrow.
“So… you’re going to deny her the job?” he asked, half-teasing.
Jungkook leaned back slightly, hands in his pockets.
“Who said I’m denying her the job?” he replied coolly.
“I never said I’d even be part of the interview.”
A slow smirk formed on his lips.
“She called me stupid… and honestly, she needs a little lesson for that.”
Yoongi let out a low whistle.
“Wait… you’re talking about revenge?”
Jungkook’s smile deepened.
“Yes. Revenge… if you want to call it that.”
“Let’s just say… she’s never met anyone like me before.
And she definitely hasn’t called me stupid.”
“One month. Just one month in this office—
and she’ll learn exactly why you don’t say that.”
Yoongi’s lips twitched, barely hiding his grin.
“Well… this is going to be interesting.”
“And considering the work we’ve got ahead of us… a little chaos might not be such a bad thing.”
They exchanged a glance—
One filled with amusement… danger… and control.
And then, quietly—
They laughed.
Not just because it was funny…
But because the game had only just begun.
