Prologue

Police lights flickered everywhere, a murder happened at the seen. Ms. Ashley Hartwell or known as “Cop Hartwell” came to the scene. She pushed the amateur cops blocking the way towards the victim. She has a strong grip so some of the cops grunted in pain when they got pushed by her. When she reached where the victim was she broke down.. she shuttered.. “No..” “Not you too..” “Please..” tears threatened to come out of her eyes. She fell on to her knees and cried helplessly. The victim who was killed was her brother, Liam Hartwell. After a few moments she stood up, she knew crying won’t do anything afterr she stood she kept a posture that shows determination to give her brother justice. In the middle of the chaos, Agent Smith came A.K.A Elijah Smith, he is a FBI you see? But he sidelines as a investigator for local police. He’s idol was Sherlock Holmes but because of fate he became an agent but who is stopping his dream of becoming a investigator, right? When he reached Cop Hartwell, he patted her shoulder and gave her a side-hug. When he did that, Ashley looked at him.. her eyes was red from crying and puffy what added more is it was raining heavy. Ashley said to Elijah in a hoarse voice “Help me bring justice to my brother..” her voice was broken as if it carried all of the pain in the world. Elijah reassured her and just kept patting her shoulder… Elijah said softly “Come on let’s get you inside” and Ashley let’s him guide her towards the car. When Ashley was settled, Elijah came back to the scene and investigated he talked to witnesses, fellow neighbors, talked to the neighbors who had CCTVs, after all the talking he came back to Ashley and asked her questions about Liam. Ashley said in a tired voice “I think he might’ve been a target by a gang..” she said. You see, Liam was a good person okay? Always the one there for everybody, the one there for you when you have nothing, the one who will always willingly gave money if you were short on it but, he joined gangs. His gang was known for being violent, one wrong move costs your life in that gang. He had left already but that gang had divided opinions the half thought it was good that he had left since staying in a gang meant you stay in a dangerous life. The other half? Well.. let’s say they were not happy. They said once you enter a gang there’s no turning back once you entered you basically have the vow to never leave this gang. But, there were loop-holes he can leave as long as he stays silent about what happens inside the gang, Liam kept his word to keep his mouth shut but that’s the problem he broke it. He sold information to a rival gang. That broke the trust of his former gang towards him when he sold the information he basically sold his life too now he is dead. Just dead. Elijah listened to Ashley very carefully as she spoke ever since she mentioned “Gangs” “Most dangerous” because that was serious..
