SCENT OF A CONTRACT
✨ NEW STORY ALERT – SCENT OF A CONTRACT IS COMING SOON! ✨
They say love can find you in the most unexpected places, even when you’re just trying to make a delivery on time ☕
Meet Ren Reyes – a hardworking orphan who’s spent his life juggling classes and odd jobs (from pizza runs to coffee deliveries) just to get by. He’s never had time for romance, and honestly? He’s never been all that interested in the whole alpha/omega dynamic everyone talks about.
But everything changes the day he’s sent to deliver coffee to the top floor of the Dream Light building—one of the city’s most powerful tech and media companies, known for revolutionizing how we connect with the world. There, he meets Kiel Lorenzo Mendez a CEO, billionaire, and the most handsome man Ren has ever laid eyes on. Dressed in custom office wear that costs more than Ren makes in a month, Kiel exudes power… but it’s his scent that stops Ren in his tracks, a warm, rich, and impossible to look away from.
Ren has no idea why this man’s presence affects him so deeply. All he knows is that from the moment their eyes meet, nothing in his life will ever be the same again.
This is my new BL omegaverse office romance – full of tension, heart, and the kind of chemistry that can’t be ignored. I can’t wait to share Ren and Kiel’s story with all of you! 🖤

...CHAPTER 1: Cigarette and Coffee...

The bell above the door of Bean & Go chimed as Ren Reyes ducked inside, rain dripping off his hoodie and leaving dark spots on the worn tile floor. His phone buzzed in his pocket—another order coming through.
“Ren! Table three needs their latte, and we’ve got a delivery to Dream Light Tower,” his boss, Ms. Chen, called out from behind the counter, already sliding a paper bag across the polished wood. “They asked for extra hot espresso with a dash of cinnamon—and hurry, it’s for the top floor.”
Ren grabbed the bag and his delivery jacket, pulling the hood up over his dark hair. “Got it! Be back in twenty!”
Dream Light Tower stood twenty-five stories high in the heart of the city, its glass facade gleaming even in the gray rain. As one of the biggest tech and media conglomerates in the country, famous for their virtual reality platforms and streaming services, everyone in the city knew its name. But for Ren, it was just another address on his delivery route.
He flashed his ID at security and stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the twenty-fifth floor. His stomach did a little flip as the car climbed higher—he’d never been to the top floor of any building before, let alone one this fancy.
The doors slid open to a hallway that looked like it belonged in a movie. Marble floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and doors made of dark wood with gold lettering. At the end of the hall, a sign read PRESIDENT’S OFFICE.
Ren took a deep breath and walked forward, raising his hand to knock. Before he could, the door swung open, and he nearly stumbled backward.
Standing in the doorway was a man who looked like he’d been carved from marble, tall, broad-shouldered, with hair the color of dark chocolate and eyes that reminded Ren of warm amber. He was wearing a custom charcoal suit that fit perfectly, with a crisp white shirt and no tie, the top two buttons undone. A faint scent of smoke clung to him, mixing with something richer and warmer underneath.
“Delivery?” the man asked, his voice deep and flat—no warmth, just business.
Ren nodded, holding out the paper bag with slightly shaky hands. “Y-yes, sir. Extra hot espresso with cinnamon. For… for the president.”
The man let out a short huff that might have been a laugh, his amber eyes scanning Ren up and down in a way that made him shift uncomfortably. “That would be me. Kiel Lorenzo Mendez. You must be from Bean & Go.”
As he took the bag from Ren’s hand, their fingers brushed, just for a second, but it was enough to make Ren freeze. A new scent hit him then, cutting through the smoke—warm cinnamon and sandalwood mixed with something deep and earthy that made his chest feel tight.
He’d never been all that interested in the whole alpha/omega thing, had never really noticed scents the way other people did. But this… this was different. He found himself leaning forward without thinking, wanting to breathe it in again.
Kiel’s gaze sharpened, and he took a small step back, his expression unreadable. “You alright?”
Ren snapped back to his senses, taking a step backward. “I’m fine! Sorry, I just… it’s warm in here. I’ll just–” He gestured toward the elevator, already turning to leave.
“Wait.” Kiel’s voice stopped him in his tracks. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a crisp twenty-dollar bill, holding it out. “There’s a convenience store two blocks down—the one with the green awning. Do you think you could grab me a pack of black cigarettes while you’re out? The strong ones. This should cover it and leave you some extra for the trouble.”
Ren stared at the bill. That was more than he made in three hours of delivering coffee. He’d never been asked to run an extra errand by a customer before, let alone someone who looked like they could have just called a personal assistant to do it.
“Um… yeah. Sure. I can do that,” he said, taking the money carefully.
Kiel nodded slowly, his eyes lingering on Ren’s face for a moment longer than necessary. “What’s your name?”
“Ren. Ren Reyes.”
“Ren.” The way Kiel said it made the name sound heavier, more important than it ever had before. “Thanks for the coffee. And hurry back, I’ve got a board meeting in twenty minutes, and I need those cigarettes.”
Ren managed a small nod before hurrying away, his heart racing as he pressed the elevator button. The mix of smoke and that warm, rich scent lingered in his nose even after he stepped inside—confusing and comforting all at once.
He had no idea who Kiel Lorenzo Mendez really was, not just as CEO of Dream Light, but as an alpha whose presence had somehow thrown him completely off balance.
All he knew was that as he jogged out into the rain toward the convenience store, he was already counting down the minutes until he’d get to see him again.
