Chapter 1

As Rui stepped out of the police car with one officer tugging on his cuff, the two then bring him into the building as the staff lead him to the investigation room.

Inside, was a single table and two chairs facing each side. A woman voice came from the small speaker placed at the top of the see-through window. "Please make your way inside and take a seat." It was all that she spoke before going silent.

Rui obeyed, he didn't try to cause trouble. 'I'm in the past, the least I could do is goes along with the flow. I want the ending that I truly deserve.' Rui take a seat on the chair in front of him.

He waited almost for a few minutes until the door clicked open revealing a man wearing trench coat and sunglasses. The man entered the room, he has a cocky smile. "Usually criminals would sit at the other chair instinctively if they knew what they had done wrong." The man has his back leaned against the wall. I saw a hint of amusement beneath those sunglasses.

I then get up from my seat. "Do you want me to switch seats detective?"

A flash irritation could be noticed in the teenager's eyes. This guy is one of those overconfident bastard, if you want to interrogate me just do it already.

The detective then let out a small chuckle as he waves off his hand. "It's fine, I'm just observing you. You're pretty sharp, for a kid." The detective sat on the chair in front of Rui, one of his feet rest on top of the table.

Rui was unimpressed before the detective take's out an empty document slip for him to fill out. "You can call me Detective Vixen, and I would appreciate hearing your reason for killing your classmate before we're barreling into any misunderstanding." The detective took out a pen, slid it across the table as it stopped in front of the paper.

"I only need you to answer one question. Why, did you do it?" Detective Vixen was pretty straight with the question, it's like he was trying to force an answer from his mouth in another way.

Rui face hardened, he clenched his fist from under the table. 'I could tell this old man how Fione has been bullying me, leaking my information online, spreading rumors about me and has ruined my life. But all of that already happened in the present. Plus I knew telling the truth still wouldn't get me out of jail.'

So I'm just going to lie my way out. "I kill her for fun. The bitch life meant nothing to me." I said casually. Too casually it sounded like I read it from a script.

Detective Vixen clicked his tongue. "Don't you think that your answer sounds a bit too cliché?"

He then lean close, incredibly close to the point I could feel his breath on my face." Someone wouldn't kill anyone 'just for fun', you wouldn't look the type to do that kind of things either." His voice almost threatening, before he leaned back against his seat.

Rui filled out the form, silence filled the room for a few moments before he handed it back to Vixen.

Vixen take the paper and put it back inside his suitcase. Vixen then grabbed the pen, his white glove picked it up by the point and put it inside his pocket.

Two officers came and cuff Rui on his wrist. "You will remain in the cell until the student parents files out a report to the court." Detective Vixen said in a firm tone as he soon head out.

The officer then bring me back into the car as we headed to the Vision prison, located in a deep forest and on top of the hill. Rumor has it that there are no visitors could pay the prisoners a visit. The road to the top of the hill was a bit wobbly.

"Man, it's been so long since we drove here. They still haven't fixed this path." The driver mumble, his eyes glance at the top small mirror, making sure Rui didn't do anything crazy or anything.

The officer from the back seat gives an amused smile. "Honestly, it's not that bad once you get used to it. Before I got a position raised, I always jogged up this hill every morning with them." The other officer spoke with pride remembering the old times.

Upon arriving, cold wind howl through the woods. Rui was then walked into the building, two guards came as they take him into the inspection room to make sure he wasn't hiding anything underneath his clothing.

Rui proceed to remain still until the inspection was over. One of the guard them handed Rui a uniform. Plain and white with the numbers at the back.

333

Rui was confused by the same three digits number. Have I seen this somewhere before?

I didn't dare to ask as I quickly get change.

The guards then bring me through the halls. For a moment, I observe the surrounding. Somehow, the interior of the building was fat more different from the usual prison. There's a couch, bookshelves and doors that looks too fancy for a prison.

My gut was telling me that something was incredibly wrong with this place, but I decide to ignore it. Despite my gut was telling me to jump out of the window and make an escape.

My eyes longer on the guards in front of me, eyes trailing from the top of their hair to bottom of their shoes.

Something just clicked inside me. Why the fuck would the guards wear a full fancy looking suite and a bowtie instead of necktie?

As I was about turn around and sprint myself out of the hall, one of them grabbed me by my shoulder, forcefully pulling, and another one injected a syringe into my neck. I pushed the guards away in anger and pain, but my vision starts to blur when the drug affect kicks in.

I held my neck in pain as both of my knees suddenly gave out. "Bastard..." All I could mutter before blacking out.

God, did I waste this second chance? I'm sorry, I'm truly hopeless.
