Chapter 3

"Why did you have to give that to that stupid air head?" It was the mysterious man whose code-name was A.

"It's not my fault that old geezer couldn't even do one job properly." A woman's voice rang out.

"J doesn't care about whose fault. He cares about the completion of mission. We have to relocate it and fast" A looks toward the woman.

The red haired woman with dark purple eyes clenched her hand. "It's your fault for reaching late. Don't threaten me in the name of J. I will...ahhhhh"

The woman falls down grasping her chest. "y…you"

"I said we need to find it. Do you understand Mary?"

"…yes, A" Mary gritted her teeth.

At the rooftop Ira looks at the packed lunch box in confusion. "What the heck?"

"What is it?" Caleb leans towards him trying to look at the box. Caleb laughed out loud. "Never knew you fancy these things"

"Ugh shut up Caleb."

"Well good for you,, I brought enough. And you should wear I think it would look good" Caleb pushed his lunch towards Ira.

Ira sighed as he looked what was inside the box. It was a simple matte black long dangling earring. A plain one just a black smooth surface. And it wasn't in a pair just on one.

"Where did you even buy that?"

"I got if from the stall. I asked the old man to give me his special"

Caleb coughed as he looked at Ira. "Are you serious? A stall only usually sells one item. How did you even think of asking their special?"

"Oh. Yeah. I totally forgot"

" On the bright side. why don't you wear it? I think you would look good in it"

"Really" Ira picks up the earring. "But I don't have my ear pierced. ... I am hungry right now. I would think about it when I am full"

Ira puts the earring in his pocket.

After the break they were in the classroom as usual listening to the teacher talking which no one cared about.

"Ok. Do you understand? Now tell me the answer of this" The teacher pointed at the question and look around. No one raised their hand and just continued to avoid looking directly at the teacher.

The teacher gritted her teeth and continued on. " You don't even know this much huh? I will say it myself. It's blah blah blah.. "

Sometimes it feels like the teacher is Dora from Dora the explorer and the students are just the ones watching the show.

Suddenly Adele raised her hand. The teacher look at her not the disapproving look, why? Because Adele Finn is the class leader, the perfect student in the eyes of the teacher with perfect grade, discipline. Someone who follows the rule accordingly.

"Teacher, may I go out?" She asked the teacher.

"Sure." The teacher said nonchalantly. If it were others they would be burned by her eyes.

Caleb who was likely about to doze off secretly pull Ira's sleeve. "Look the devil is going to disappear"

Ira looked up from his book and his eye clashed with Adele's eye. She glared at him and walked out of the classroom.

"What's her problem?" Caleb complained to Ira.

Ira shrugged. "Focus on the class"

"Tch. Aren't you curious? Where she goes? Let's follow her"

"Curiosity kills the cat. And besides the teacher won't even let you out"

"Come on. I know. Why don't you go, Ira? She will let you go. After all you are the second ranker"

"No."

"Please. I would buy you whatever amount of chocolate you want." Caleb looked at him with puppy eyes. He knew Ira can never resist his charm *chocolate*.

Ira hesitated for a bit. "Ugh. Fine"

Caleb gave him 'I knew it' look.

Ira raised his hand. "Teacher, May I go out? I don't feel well"

The teacher looked at for a bit. "Go"

Caleb gave him a thumbs up. Ira sighed as he got out and followed the way Adele has gone.

Ira casually walked as he wasn't that much curious. He didn't see any signs of Adele. As he turned around a corner he quickly hide because he saw the janitor the same one who was talking with Adele at the lunch break.

(Why is he acting so suspicious?) Ira sweatdropped at the obvious showdown. The janitor was looking around as if he was doing something and he didn't want to get caught. Ira quietly followed from a distance. (Damn. Now I feel stupid.)

The janitor walked towards the abandoned part of the school. And quickly got inside.

Ira got up from his crouched position from the bush. (This, Why is he going there?)

It was said that this school is a very old one but it was a prestigious school even back then. But due to the poor structure and sudden earthquake the old school couldn't be used. So they created new building just at the side of the old one. Usually the old one is hidden at the back of the property.

And no one goes here because people say it's haunted. So the question is why is the janitor going there acting all suspicious.

Ira didn't want to do anything troublesome so he decided to go back.

Just then he saw Adele appear out of nowhere and entered as well.

Ira sighed and remembering what Caleb had said. He decided to follow her. He quickly got inside from the window. Furthermore, he may have sneaked here before. Not only that, but he hid behind a pillar.

The distance was not too far from then but not to close to hear what they were talking about. The janitor, annd Adele were talking and they started walking to the hallways.

Ira followed them again. And saw them in front of the elevator. (Wait. Why the old school used to have a elevator?" )

Ira looked surprised. It seemed too suspicious. He was torn apart on whether to follow them or not.
