Chapter 4: Latoya

Everyone had moved to the garden and it was just as breathtaking as the wedding hall. Holding this big muscular guy's hand. Maybe he is a police officer because his physic is wow.

20 minutes into it, people are conversing and all but we keep getting funny looks and this guy is determined to have me all to himself. He hasn't said anything yet and personally I appreciate that bcz I almost came when he talked to me at the altar.

This man shouldn't exist he is a problem for me. I'm close to raping him because why does a white man have a baritone voice. Ms Evans surely lost to this man's daddy because I see nothing of hers on this man.

Masterpiece!

But does he really need to keep holding my hand though?

I'm damp and this is starting to feel like the moment I scream YES DADDY IM CLOSE!!

I'm fucked!

He turns to me, gentle smile and offers me sweet desserts.

" I don't know if this will help but you need to stop trembling before you actually faint..." he whispers into my ear and I feel a tug of my ear lobe. Never have I ever been so happy to have my melanin skin as I was in that moment otherwise I would have completely gone red.

I'm already embarrassed for zoning out during the reception can't he give me a rest? I huff and turn away. I hear a chuckle from behind me.

" Cute... very cute" he says so only I can hear

I turn back and I'm instantly overwhelmed by the teasing look on his face.

Before I can react, a woman I have never met before walks into the garden clearly angry but trying hard to school her features into looking aloof rather than what it actually was. She's gorgeous and clearly aging with grace but that's not the shocking part she looks exactly like my new husband. Husband...? Hmm..

behind her is a blonde women the same age looking at me like I'm the reason there's no world peace. Beside her is my mother looking aggrieved, a knot ties in my stomach.

Something really was wrong!

Was it my sister? She has been stuck a couple cities over because some girl at her work place decided to stir trouble her way close to my wedding date now she isn't even allowed to leave that city because of how she handled the girl. Or my grandma? The old woman who raised me when my mother was being well... my mother! The trembling intensified.

This guy squeezed my hand again but I didn't want him I wanted that woman at the door who had decided a Karen was more important than my wedding.

This woman gets to us and says through clenched teeth

" Both of you join us in the bridal chamber now..."

We follow her immediately, Evan isn't really enthusiastic about it. Infact he is dragging his feet and me because he won't let go of my hand. It's making me more frustrated and anxious. We finally get to the bridal chamber and the wind is immediately knocked out of my lungs....

What the hell?
