*GASP*

Leon woke up in the middle of the night gasping for air. Cold sweat running down his face as he got out of bed and sat at the side of the bed looking at the ground. As he runs his fingers through his hair, he let out a sigh and looked up in his room and stare out to his windows. He got up and grab his phone next to the nightstand and walked towards the windows and stood there looking into the city lights. He leaned back to the walls behind him and look at his phone.

5 unread text messages

He opens the unread voice message and saw that his secretary Lisa Black and his assistant James Wolf had left him a message about the upcoming deals in Thailand and in LA. He then opens the unread text messages all are from his best friends. Samuel Park, who is his partner in his company and helps him run his company in Korea. Asteroid Price, one of the rich's lady in Asia who became friends with Leon at the age of 20 when she was in the States. She then married one of the riches men in Singapore, name Tyler King. Although it was an arrangement marriage, she fell deeply in love with the man after many fights and running away from him. Tyler secretly loves Asteroid when they were young. He did everything for her. Although he had to endure the pain Asteroid gave him, he was a very patient man and forgave her because he loved her. Last but not lease there was Arthur Yang. A medical genius surgeon in the world. His nickname was the ghost doctor or the miracle doctor. Even if the patient didn't have long to live, he was able to give them more time to spend with loves one, and that is why people will pay him big amount of money for more time.  All the hospital wants him to work for them, but he isn't someone who will work for just anyone. Like Leon, he too dislikes public display, so not a lot of people knows how he looks like for sure. Arthur travels all over the world treating people who needs help. No one really knows his whereabouts besides Leon and his Mentor. Anyone who wants Doctor Yang to be their doctor has no luck finding him.

Leon texts back to Arthur.

Arthur: Coming back to the States in 2 days to handle some business. Let me know where you're at.

Leon: I'm currently in New York. Let me know what time you land, and I'll pick you up from the airport.

Leon checks Asteroid messages

Asteroid: I'm BORED. When are you coming back to the city?

Leon laughs a little and reply's back: Come to New York and play. Arthur is coming back. Don't forget your husband this time.

Leon checks Samuel's message: Is your vacation over yet?

Leon calls Samuel.

Samuel picks up Leon's call...

Samuel: Why are you calling me so early.

Leon: I just wanted to check up on you. How's work?

Samuel: How dare you ask me that knowing how much work you just dumped on me and left. I'll have you know I finished everything. Where are you anyway?

Leon: New York. Arthur is coming back in 2 days. Book a plane and come out. It's been a while since we all got together.

Samuel: Is that so! How long is he staying this time?

Leon: I don't know. Didn't ask.

Samuel: Alright, I'll be there....Hey Leo, how are you doing?

Leon: ........

Samuel: I'm sorry, forget I asked.

Leon: I'm ok. But I'm also not okay. I'll see you soon. *Hangs up*

Leon stays silent for a while and looks back at his phone and checks his missed called

3 YEARS AGO...... January 12th, 2021

Somewhere in Jeju Island Hotel. Leon age 24. Right after Leon landed in Jeju Island, he went straight to his hotel and got in the shower. Lisa comes into his room and lay out his evening outfit to wear to relax for the rest of the night as they have no work until tomorrow. Lisa left the room and went into her room next door. Leon gets out of the shower and wrap a towel around his waist and used another towel and wipe off the excess water on his body and hair. As he walked out of the bathroom, he can see his clothes laying on the bed, and he took his phone out of his bag and sent a "thank you" text to his secretary and told her to rest easy for the rest of the night and threw is phone on the bed. Feeling hungry and jet leg from the plane, he decided to go to the restaurant inside the hotel. Looking at his cloths laying in front of him, he was feeling a bit proud that his secretary had picked out a rather stylish outfit for him. As he put on his cloths, he was looking in the mirror with a big smile, standing tall at 6ft and 3inches, weighing about 170lbs with a 6 pack he was fit and slim. With his mid fade buzz cut hair style. Wearing a black collar button up short sleeve shirt and long slim silk tan pants that fits perfectly, width and length just enough to still see his ankle along with a pair of all white vans slip on. He puts on a classic watch and put his wallet in his black sling bag and put it over his shoulder and grab a beige baseball hat and puts it on and walked out of his room and went down to the lobby. As he got to the restaurant, he sat himself down near a window and order a cold beer and some appetizers, as he hasn't decided on what to eat. As soon as he drinks his beer his phone beeped.

*DING*

As he puts his beer down and took his phone out and looked to see who sent him a message.

~UNREAD MESSAGE FROM UNKNOWN NUMBER~

Leons eyes turns dark and felt a tightness in his heart as he knows whose number it was.

ANNIE: It's me Annie. I got your number from Jamie. I really miss you! Please don't be mad at me. You know there wasn't anything I can do. Please don't ignore me and respond to me.

LEON doesn't reply back.

ANNIE: I just want you to understand I had no choice, you know how toxic my parents can be. Please. I still love you, Leo. I'll give you anything to come back to me. So please just come back to me.

Leon doesn't respond back to Annie. He looks at her message and thinks to himself how could she be so shameless. He feels sick to his stomach.  *DINGS*

Annie: Please talk to me. I'll call you if that's what you want.

*RINGS RINGS RINGS RINGS*

Leon lets it go to voicemail and ignores her first call. *DINGS*

Annie: I will keep calling you until you pick up. Even if you block me, I will just get a new number and keep calling.

Annie calls Leon again and Leon ignores her 2nd call again.

*RINGS RINGS RINGS* Third call......

Leon finally picks up Annies's call.

Leon: ......

Annie: L-leon?

Leon: I thought I made myself perfectly clear 6 months ago. DON'T CONACT ME EVER AGAIN.

Annie: Please Leo. I miss you so much. Do you know how much I need you right now?

Annies starts sobbing on the phone and Leon sighs***

Leon: To think that I loved you for 5 years just to be a fool in your eyes and an idiot in your parents mind. It's been an entire year since we broke up and last time we spoke was 6 months ago. There's nothing in this world that you can give me that will make me forgive you. You made that choice without even thinking of me. No. I was never in the picture. Live the life your parents had chosen for you. Never contact me again. Lose my number if you know what's good for you.

Annie: It's not what you thin....

Leon hangs up on Annie and quickly blocks her number and sends a text message to Lisa.

Leon: Get me a new phone and number when we go back home. I'm shutting off my phone after this. Let everyone know to contact you if they need me.

*Sends message and turns off phone*

Leon gives a big sigh and leans back on his chair and runs his hand on his face and takes off his hat and puts it on the table and leans back up and calls a waiter nearby and quickly grabs his beer and chugs it down before the waiter gets to him. When the waiter got to him, he asked for another round and 5 shot of whisky. He no longer felt hungry and was just wanted to drink down these feelings of hurt and betrayal. As soon as the waiter brought him his drinks, he quickly took those 5 shots back-to-back and once again he chugged down his glass of beer. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a bit and as he opens his eyes, he felt heartbroken, sad, and lonely. He sat there for a while just thinking about that night that Annie had destroy him completely. As he rubs his eyes, he can feel the drinks getting to him and the waiter comes up to him and tells him that the restaurant is about to close in 10 minutes. He lifts up his watch and read the time at 11:51PM. He nods to the waiter and puts back on his hat and gets up. As he got up, he felt a heavy rush in his body and shakes his head side to side to get rid of that heavy feeling. He smiled at the waiter and gave him a $100 bill as a tip for taking care of his drinks tonight. As he left the restaurant, he felt a light cold breeze hit his face and he took a deep breath and lets it out and turn his head to see which way he wants to go. Feeling somewhat hot he wanted to go to the nearby beach that close by the hotel.  As he makes his way around the hotel and goes down the steps of stair leading down to the beach and as he reaches the last step, a sudden gust of wind blew in his direction causing the sand around to fly towards him and he lifts his arms up coving his face.

*Lights flickering*

The wind settles down and a calm warm breeze flows around him. Leon can hear the ocean waves hitting the rocks and as he opens his eyes and lowers his arm slowly, he can see the moon lights hitting the wavey waters showing how shiny the ocean is his eyes widen as he sees how beautiful the ocean view is.

"AHHHHH!!!! LOOK OUT!!!!"

Leon suddenly putting his arms down quickly and turns around to the voice....."OOUUFF!"

*BAAMMM*

Stranger: OUCH! I'm so sorry! Are you alright!?

Leon groaning as felt something heavy on top of him and suddenly felt his back in pain from the hard fall he just had and as he opens his eyes the bright lights from the light pole above them blinded his vision and blinking really fast to catch his vision from the blur, the stranger spoke. He realizes it was a girl! The girl slowly got off him and he quickly turn to his side right side and used his left hand to touch his back and massage it. As he looks to his side, he can see a skateboard not too far from his sight and rolled his eyes. He didn't even bother to look at the girl as he was in pain and didn't care.

Leon: Argh. What the heck!

Girl: I'm so sorry mister! Here let me help you get up.

She lay down her backpack on the ground, and she ran to his side and reaches her left hand towards Leon to help him, Leon didn't hesitate and accepted the help from the girl. Eventually got on his knees and used his left hand to grab the girl's hand and shifted his weight towards his right and as he was about to pull on the girl's hand, he was able to lift up his right knee making his right feet land flat on the ground causing him to use all his weight and strength on pulling the girls hand and eventually the girl suddenly felt a hard pull causing her to leap forward towards him once again! As soon as Leon vision came back from being distorted, he finally was able to focus on the fact that he pulled on the girl's hand too hard causing her to lose balance and was about fall on him and with a fast reaction he quickly leaned in with his body to stop her from falling and moved his left hand and wraps it around her slender waist. As soon as he catches her, her right hand slipped and ended up grabbing the back of his hat and she was able to grab on the strap and the buttons snapped off and it ends up falling off of Leons head as soon as she felt a hard bump stopping her from falling, she looks down at Leon. Her almond shape eyes were wide open as she looks at him carefully in shock thinking to herself (HOLY CRAP HE'S HOT). On the other hand, Leon was even more amazed at how the girl looked. He was in awe when he stared into her big round almond brown eyes blinking slowly at him as if she was watching him carefully like a cat. She had long black silky hair and she looked young and her face wasn't too big or too small, and her neck was slender, her body size was slim complementing her curvy figure. She couldn't be more than 5ft 6in tall considering how Leon's head is level with her face. Leon himself is 6ft and 4in tall. Leon can feel her hair moving with the wind and it brushes on his face a little (her hair smelled nice. Oh, she has a beauty mark by the corner of left eye. How cute.) He thought to himself. There was a fimilar sent on her,,,wait she had a slight sent of....alcohol. As soon as he can smell the alcohol, he squinted his eyes a little bit and as the girl saw his face, she suddenly got a hold of herself and slowly cough clearing her throat and letting go of him and took a few steps backwards.

Girl: *ahem* Thank you and I'm sorry again. I can be a bit clumsy when I'm drinking alcohol.

Leon catching his thoughts and slowly pull himself up and pats down his cloths to get rid of any sand or dirt off. He slowly looks at the girl. She was wearing a plain short white sleeve V-neck shirt and a pair of blue ripped skinny jeans and a pair of white classic vans.

Leon: Who in their right mind drinks and skateboard in the middle of the night. Let alone at the beach.

The girl feeling attacked after apologizing and glares at Leon.

Girl: Who in their right mind would stand at the end of the stairs going to the beach in the middle of the night.

Leon: Me. amused by how she answered Leon, he grins at her and looking intensely at the girl and noticing that her right foot is tip toeing.

Leon: Are you hurt?

Girl: As a matter of fact, I am. But I don't need your help. I think we've helped each other more than enough. If you're okay, then I'll be on my way.

As Leon watches the girl limping to get her skateboard and grabbing her backpack and sees her strapping her skateboard in front of it and flips it to her back to carry and walks towards the beach passing him. Leon suddenly grabs her backpack behind her stopping her from taking any more steps and she stumbles.

Girl: Hey what the hell man! Let go before I call the cops.

Leon lets go of her backpack and grabs his hat from the ground and puts it on and walks in front of her preventing her from walking past him.

Leon: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I'm not a bad guy seriously. I just felt bad that I cause your injuring by pulling you too hard when you were helping me get up. But I really think you shouldn't go to the beach in that condition.

The girl was taken by back the comment and took off her backpack and holds it out towards Leon. Leon looking confused and ask her

Leon: What?

Girl: If you feel bad then carry my backpack and if you don't think it's okay with me going to the beach with my foot hurting then carry me to the beach.

The girl smiling and grinning at Leon thinking that he wouldn't do it and just leave her alone. To her surprise Leon swing his bag to his front body and grabs her backpack and swing it to his front body and carries it and turns around and bends down with his arms behind him waving his hands for her to go get on.

Girl: W-wait. What are you doing?

Leon: I'm carrying you like you asked. So, get on.

Girl: I was just kidding. I didn't think you would actually do it.

Leon: Consider it as being even for hurting your ankle.

The girl hesitated for a few seconds and limps to Leons back for him to carry her. As soon as she leans on his back and puts her arms around his neck, she suddenly felt embarrassed. Leon wrapping his arms around her legs tightly and stood up tall and surprising the girl she let out a small sound.

Girl: *epp* holy crap is this how you see the world! I'm jealous!

Leon: *giggles at her comment* the view is great\, but it comes with back pain.

The girl laughs.

Girl: Alright alright let's go to towards the beach!

She pointed to the beach and Leon follows her direction and started walking towards the beach.

As they got closer, they found a spot to settle down and Leon slowly puts her down and then puts her backpack down. Leon catching his breath asked

Leon: what's in your backpack. It was cold and a little heavy.

Girl smiled at him and bent down and opened her backpack wide for Leon to see what was inside.

Girl: TA-DA! (opening her arms wide open)

Leon looking dumbfound lets out a small laugh. In the backpack there was a 12-pack beer and a bottle of soju with some snacks and a blanket. The girl takes out the blanket and lays it out on the sand and sat right down on it and took off her shoes and threw it next to the sand and one by one she takes everything out and lay them by categories. She looks at Leon and smiles at him.

Girl: Hey, I know we're even, but I think we can let our issue be by gone. Why don't you join me. I'm sure you wanted to come and see the water by yourself, but I insist.

Leon thinking to himself wondering why this girl is so carefree. Isn't she afraid that I might do something bad to her. We're alone on the beach and there's no one here.

Leon: aren't you afraid of me? You don't even know me and yet you're inviting me for a late-night drink with no one around us.

Girl: hmm I guess I'm not afraid of you because you could've hurt me when I landed on you. *Lets out a small laugh and looks Leon in the eyes* and your right I don't know who you are and yet here we are\, aren't we.

She gives Leon a gentle smile and Leons heart skips a beat by surprise. He was caught off guard by her smile and that beauty mark just makes her eyes twinkle even more under the moon light and he laughs gently, and he smiles back at her and takes off his shoes and sits across from her and takes off his hat and lays it next to him.

Leon: If you don't mind me being your drinking buddy for tonight then, hello. My name is Leon Yuma. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
