A dangerous deal

The tension inside Pravy Group headquarters had not faded.

After the intruder escaped, security tightened across the entire building. Guards stood at every entrance. Surveillance screens filled the control room, showing every corner of the headquarters.

But despite all the precautions, one thing was clear.

Someone dangerous was targeting Kang Min-Jae.

And that someone knew Han Seo-Yeon.

Min-Jae stood inside his office, staring at the city below. His expression was calm, but his thoughts were sharp.

Behind him, Seo-Yeon stood quietly.

"You should tell me everything," Min-Jae said.

Seo-Yeon hesitated.

"He used to work with my brother," she began slowly.

Min-Jae turned slightly.

"His name?"

Seo-Yeon lowered her gaze.

"Lee Dae-Hyun."

Min-Jae frowned.

"I've heard that name before."

Seo-Yeon nodded.

"He was one of the best operatives in Black Raven."

"And now?"

Seo-Yeon's voice hardened.

"Now he's dangerous."

Min-Jae crossed his arms.

"Why would he target me?"

Seo-Yeon took a slow breath.

"My brother and Dae-Hyun were assigned to protect a client years ago."

"What happened?"

"There was an ambush."

Min-Jae listened carefully.

"My brother told me… someone leaked their location."

Min-Jae's eyes narrowed.

"You think Dae-Hyun betrayed them."

Seo-Yeon nodded slowly.

"My brother died that day."

Silence filled the room.

Min-Jae understood.

This wasn't just a mission for Seo-Yeon.

It was personal.

Suddenly, Ji-Hoon entered quickly.

"Boss."

Min-Jae turned.

"What is it?"

Ji-Hoon handed him a tablet.

"We received a message."

Min-Jae read it carefully.

Meet me tonight. Come alone. Or the game gets worse.

Seo-Yeon's expression hardened.

"It's him."

Min-Jae looked calm.

"Location?"

Ji-Hoon replied.

"An abandoned warehouse near the river."

Seo-Yeon stepped forward.

"It's dangerous."

Min-Jae nodded.

"I know."

"You shouldn't go."

Min-Jae looked at her.

"And let him control the situation?"

Seo-Yeon clenched her fists.

"I'll go with you."

Min-Jae shook his head.

"He asked me to come alone."

Seo-Yeon's voice turned firm.

"I'm not letting you go alone."

Min-Jae studied her for a moment.

Then he sighed slightly.

"Fine."

Ji-Hoon looked worried.

"I'll send backup nearby."

Min-Jae nodded.

"Keep them hidden."

Night fell quickly over Seoul.

The warehouse stood quietly near the river, surrounded by darkness. Broken windows rattled softly in the wind.

A black car stopped nearby.

Min-Jae stepped out first.

Seo-Yeon followed closely.

"Stay alert," she whispered.

Min-Jae nodded.

They entered the warehouse slowly.

The air inside was cold and dusty.

Footsteps echoed.

Then—

A voice spoke from the shadows.

"You came."

Seo-Yeon's eyes sharpened.

Lee Dae-Hyun stepped forward.

He looked calm, almost relaxed.

"Nice to see you again, Seo-Yeon."

Her expression turned cold.

"Why are you doing this?"

He smiled slightly.

"You still haven't figured it out?"

Min-Jae stepped forward.

"You asked to meet me."

Dae-Hyun turned his gaze toward him.

"So you're the famous Pravy Boss."

Min-Jae remained calm.

"What do you want?"

Dae-Hyun chuckled.

"A deal."

Seo-Yeon frowned.

"What kind of deal?"

Dae-Hyun's eyes narrowed.

"Seo-Yeon leaves your company."

Silence filled the warehouse.

Min-Jae glanced at Seo-Yeon.

"Why?"

Dae-Hyun smiled.

"Because she belongs in my world."

Seo-Yeon's voice turned sharp.

"I'm not going anywhere."

Dae-Hyun sighed.

"You always were stubborn."

Min-Jae stepped forward.

"You're wasting my time."

Dae-Hyun's smile faded.

"If she stays with you… more attacks will follow."

Seo-Yeon's eyes hardened.

"You think I'm afraid?"

Dae-Hyun shook his head.

"No. I'm warning you."

Suddenly—

A loud noise echoed.

Metal doors slammed shut.

Seo-Yeon turned quickly.

"We're trapped."

Dae-Hyun smiled.

"Just a precaution."

Min-Jae stayed calm.

"What are you planning?"

Dae-Hyun stepped back.

"Just testing you."

Suddenly, several masked men appeared from the shadows.

Seo-Yeon moved instantly.

"Boss, stay behind me."

The attackers rushed forward.

Seo-Yeon dodged the first punch and struck quickly. She moved smoothly, knocking one man down.

Min-Jae fought beside her, calm but precise.

Within seconds, the fight intensified.

Seo-Yeon blocked a knife attack and twisted the attacker's arm.

Min-Jae knocked another man to the ground.

Dae-Hyun watched quietly.

"You're stronger than before."

Seo-Yeon didn't respond.

She kicked another attacker aside.

Within moments, the masked men were down.

Silence returned.

Dae-Hyun smiled slowly.

"Impressive."

Seo-Yeon glared at him.

"What do you want?"

Dae-Hyun walked closer.

"I just wanted to confirm something."

"What?"

He looked directly at Min-Jae.

"You trust her."

Min-Jae didn't hesitate.

"Yes."

Dae-Hyun nodded slowly.

"That makes things more interesting."

Suddenly—

Smoke bombs exploded.

Seo-Yeon covered her eyes.

When the smoke cleared…

Dae-Hyun was gone.

Again.

Seo-Yeon clenched her fists.

"He escaped."

Min-Jae looked calm.

"He wanted us to come."

Seo-Yeon nodded.

"He was testing us."

Min-Jae turned toward the exit.

"Let's go."

The doors slowly unlocked.

They walked outside.

Ji-Hoon rushed toward them.

"Boss! Are you okay?"

Min-Jae nodded.

"Yes."

Seo-Yeon remained silent.

Her thoughts were heavy.

Dae-Hyun's words echoed in her mind.

"She belongs in my world."

Later that night, Seo-Yeon stood alone on the rooftop.

The city lights shimmered below.

Min-Jae walked toward her.

"You should rest."

"I'm fine."

He stood beside her.

"You're worried."

Seo-Yeon hesitated.

"He won't stop."

Min-Jae nodded.

"Neither will we."

Seo-Yeon looked at him.

"You shouldn't be involved in my past."

Min-Jae's voice remained calm.

"You work for me."

Seo-Yeon shook her head.

"This is different."

Min-Jae looked directly at her.

"You're part of my team."

Seo-Yeon felt something shift.

For the first time…

She felt she wasn't alone.

But far away…

Inside a dark car…

Dae-Hyun watched a photo.

Seo-Yeon and Min-Jae standing together.

He smiled slowly.

"The Pravy Boss…"

He leaned back.

"This is getting interesting."

The car disappeared into the night.

And the danger surrounding the Pravy Boss…

Was only getting closer.
