**Luka's POV**
Mornings like this were the worst.
My head felt heavy, like the night hadn’t fully left me yet. For a few seconds, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, trying to piece things together.
Party.
Drinks.
Rain.
And then… her.
I frowned, sitting up slowly.
There was something about her. The way she looked at me—annoyed, unimpressed. Not like the others.
And then—
The kiss.
I shut my eyes briefly. “Shit…”
“Alive?”
I turned my head.
Adrian stood near the door, already dressed, looking like he had his life together as usual.
“Barely,” I muttered.
“How did I get home?” I asked.
“Driver called me,” he said. “Said some girl put you in a cab.”
So that part was real.
“She didn’t come with me?”
“No,” Adrian replied. “Guess she didn’t like you enough.”
I let out a quiet breath.
“There was a girl,” I said.
“You ‘think’ there was a girl,” he corrected.
I didn’t argue.
Because he was right.
I didn’t remember clearly.
Just flashes.
Rain hitting the ground.
Her voice.
That irritated look in her eyes.
And for some reason… it stayed.
“Get ready,” Adrian said. “We’re already late.”
Right.
College.
—
The campus was worse than I expected.
Crowds everywhere. Noise. People staring like I was some kind of event instead of a person.
Adrian walked beside me, unfazed as always.
“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” I said.
“A little,” he replied.
I ignored him.
Security was trying to control the crowd, but it didn’t matter. People kept pushing forward, calling my name, trying to get closer.
I kept walking.
Then—
Something made me look up.
I don’t know why.
But my eyes moved across the crowd, scanning without thinking.
And then I saw her.
For a second, everything slowed.
It wasn’t clear at first.
Just a face in the crowd.
Then something clicked.
The way she stood.
The way she looked at me—not excited, not impressed.
My brows furrowed.
No.
That’s not possible.
I looked again.
And this time—
I knew.
Rain.
Her voice.
That moment.
It was her.
The same girl.
The one from last night.
For a second, I just stood there, staring.
Out of all places—
Here?
“Luka?” Adrian’s voice pulled me slightly. “You stopped.”
“I know her,” I said quietly.
That got his attention.
“In that crowd?” he asked.
I didn’t answer.
Because I wasn’t even sure how to explain it.
She looked at me.
And I knew.
She recognized me too.
There was a brief pause.
Something unspoken.
Then I looked away first.
Because for some reason—
I didn’t want to deal with that right now.
“Interesting,” Adrian murmured.
I ignored him and kept walking.
But my mind didn’t move on.
—
By the time we reached class, I was already tired.
I knocked once and stepped inside.
“Sorry, sir.”
“Come in,” the professor said. “Go find a seat.”
I nodded and walked in.
And then—
There she was.
Again.
Sitting right there.
Closer this time.
Real.
Not a memory.
Not a mistake.
My steps slowed just slightly.
So it wasn’t coincidence.
She was actually here.
Same college.
Same class.
Of all possibilities—
This one.
As I walked past her, our eyes met.
This time, there was no doubt.
She knew.
And I knew she knew.
There was a flicker of something in her expression—shock, maybe confusion.
Fair.
I almost said something.
Almost.
But instead, I kept walking.
And took the seat right behind her.
Adrian sat beside me, leaning slightly closer.
“Don’t tell me,” he said quietly, “that’s the girl.”
I stayed silent.
Which was answer enough.
He let out a soft breath, almost amused. “First day, and you’ve already complicated things.”
I leaned back, my gaze drifting toward her again.
What were the chances?
And more importantly—
Why did it feel like this wasn’t just coincidence?
Yeah.
This was going to be a problem.
